I'm burned out due to too many photographing sessions
So this week, I take a break...no shooting. I will keep logging in here to see what's on.

I'm eager to see which team we will play with in the 1st round..
lolol..kinda exciting.

I just looked at our average scores over the last month (which is how we will be placed in the divisions in DPL 5) and our current average is 5.985 which is pretty high in my opinion. I think it will go up a little and possibly be at 6.0 after this weeks scores come in. I think we are going to have some very stiff competition and I'm looking forward to it.

Just as a side note and a personal goal of mine, lets not loose sight of our creativity in an attempt to "win" over the masses. Remember the reason you joined DPC and don't let the league influence your goals. Of course it will be nice to win some, but that isn't the main goal (all my opinion of course).

I have been very lucky to have a few 6.0+ scores in the last challenges, but I'm not going to hang my head when I get a "middle of the road" 5.x. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a sub 6 score!

Freda, I've been trying to take a break for weeks now I just can't seem to put the camera down! Maybe this will be the week I take a break too...although DPL sounds kinda fun!

Actually I would like to take a break last week
but then I just couldn't off my hands from my camera.
Now, I have too..since whatever I shoot seems sooo wrong.
a week break would help to clear my head.

Agree with Jason...creativity is essential! And so is fun...would hate for anyone to start looking at this as work.

I'm planning on shooting only one challenge this week...don't have time for any more than that.

Dr. Seuss is going up...thank goodness...this morning was just ugly!

Freda, I just looked at each member's profile page and copied the last months scores into a spreadsheet and then averaged them. That is why current challenges didn't get counted.

Here's my scores, my Seuss is going down...I'm glad yours is rising Terri. I shot some more sports shots tonight, but having problem picking one that I want to submit... :)

Morning all...

Wow Jason...I was looking at your scores from yesterday...your blowing me away! Fabulous!

Here's my updated scores (apparently, I can't buy me a 6!), at least the Dr. Seuss is on the rise. The comments on it have been very complimentary, not one bad thought...so, why isn't it up further??

I have to say, there were some beautiful entries in the April Free Study. I have never given out so many 10's...and I don't give them out easily. One of them I gave a ten to took red.

Thanks Terri, I'm very excited about my recent scores! I have some sports shots that I'm trying to decide on. I captured one more that I think is going to be "THE ONE". LOL. I gotta quit shooting and just submit one of them!

My April free study came in at 6.2414 which was 105th place so almost a top 100 in a group of very outstanding photos, so I'm very happy about that.

Symmetry bumped Mary off of my "Highest Rated Photos" :( and finished as my second highest rated photo at 6.65. I just realized that I have 3 plants now on the 4 highest rated photos. I never even liked taking pictures of flowers! Seems so boring LOL. Oh well, maybe DPC has brought out a new style for me - YUK - LOL.

Sports is doing a little better than I thought.....

I was such a dummy!!
I guess i was 100% burned out!
just now while sitting in my living room ..I looked outside the window..only then I noticed.. every week..there are tennis players
playing at a tennis court which just opposite my house!

lolol it takes less than 5 minutes walking crossing the street!
and some friends are playing tennis too...hmmmmm...

LOL Freda! We get so wrapped up in getting that PERFECT shot that sometimes we miss the obvious everyday happenings around us! I'm guilty of the same thing....Lets relax and enjoy our photography!

Sports passed Seuss and hopefully is still rising :)
