thanks all for voting on and liking my entry. i had actually done a few shots that i was considering submitting that were more like figure studies. but i still wanted to do something out of the ordinary, stunning, theatrical, that left it open to the viewer to the interpret or a read a story into.

that's how i came up with the shot i submitted. i had a number of ideas for titles, but whatever it was had to capture the 'fantasy' quality of the image. my favorite alternate title took into account the chair and was called 'executive muse'.

my other outtakes are here (warning: bare breasts ahead), if you are interested. i am very interested to hear what people would have thought of them and if any of them would have been preferred. personally, i very much liked the shots 'sea nymph' and 'composure'.

Which are your favorites?

I like the submitted one the best. A very fun shot. Sorry about your fifth place finish. Happens to the best of us.

In my dreams B+W has my vote. I love B+W nude shots. There is something about monotone that just accentuates a nude form so well... Great shots mag....

hard to tell on this work monitor--but i think i like the high-contrast blue or B&W versions best. i prolly need to look again when i get home! :)

I like the one you submitted the best also. I don't really like the blue-tinted pics because it doesn't really "fit" (to me) given the subjects. The other B&W shots are better, but on "Compose" the left arm highlight is "blown out" which I don't like.

What's good about your original submission is you seem more of the women and see the curves, etc., of her body instead of the just the upper part and breasts.

I need to work where you work. I'd get fired for viewing such things! :)

Ya gotta look when the boss isn't looking :-)

I am very sorry if you found my comments insulting. I was just surprised to see photographs that "looked" to have been worked on Photoshop accepted, as I myself had received similar comments on Manipulation on my photograph. I certainly did not mean that your photos were not good, I have nothing against working on Photoshop. Please accept my apologies if I offended you.

Yeah, I already tried that when I was looking at the challenge results. Then someone saw my monitor and said "Whoa! What's Rob looking at???" It didn't take long a for a small crown to gather around my monitor. =)

Hmmm... I have to disagree with most folks here. I liked Stark the best and Sea Nymph... the submission didn't do much for me, i dunno maybe i'm missing something.

thanks for all the comments. the multiplicity of responses and preferences indicates to me that i had my work cut out for me. i definitely could have done a more typical 'glamour nude' but wanted to do something more edgy and weird. i'm surprised it did as well as it did! :)

im starting to get overwhelmed each week choosing amongst so many different results - as i usually get lots of ideas thoughout the week to try, for challenges that i'm interested in.

i think from now on, im going to just choose one idea and stick with that, and save myself a lot of headache.

thanks again for your feedback...

hi sonasand, i'm not sure what comments you're referring to. Are yo9u sure it was my picture?
