This week's OOBIE goes to skewsme for Global Warming.

There were no YAPPIE nominations.

This will be the last OOBIE/YAPPIE ballot that I will be sending out.

If you wish to continue the process, the current nominations are in this thread. Nomintions on or after 05/06/07 are for this week.

sorry, mary, for my unresposiveness in tho oobie/yappie thing. it has been very hectic here, but that is no excuse for not doing what i should.

here's a funky new tool - the colour match thing. using paintings you like as the colour source for your photographs. cool.

I was kind of hoping for a shot at the brown in Culture, but a 4.6 is just regular old suck, not brown material.

I am forming a team - please read and let me know if you are interested!

I hope that my post about the team didn't sound like I was trying to overtake Team Spleen or step on toes anything. I just figured that since it was said that there could be a couple of team suck-related DPL teams, I'd throw the "team suck" aspect in with the "average under five".

I don't see it that way, Kelly, and I applaud your proactiveness. Just my two cents worth. :-)

Eh, don't worry. And I just tried to fav your ladybug crossing the lake but it won't let me do it again.

Deb - thanks for that :-)
Hey, how do we join Team Spleen, Fearless Leader?
05/09/2007 08:43:52 AM · #1836
Rock on you to you guys joining the DPL. The last round was fun and I got to meet some really good people as a result of it. I've seen people talk about the pressure of doing well... If you are on a team of people who support you and support your work - it's really no different than each time you enter a challenge on your own. It can be as fun as you want to make it :)

The teams do have their own thread but keep in mind that the Site Council also has the ability to go in and see what you do.

Deb - as for your comment of not being able to vote for your teammates photos - do you know if they set it up so that we would actually be blocked from doing it?

HUH? I don't understand ... what did I miss? ... why is this the last that you will be sending out?

I'm pretty sure that they said it'll be like how your own entry is now - separate and non-vote-on-able.

Yes ... your team-mates photos will appear at the bottom of the voting page along with your entry and you will be unable to vote on it just as you are not able to vote on your own.

Oh ok missed that somewhere. Well that certainly removes the temptation of "friend voting" lol. Good luck with your team! I'll be cheering you all on of course.

I think I may have you beat in sucking, but don't know, as I turned scores off :-)

If Team Suck didn't die when its heart and soul was away *Mary* - then ain't nothin' can kill it.

Before, the WPL was a testosterone-ridden minority and if you joined, you'd better row in unison to propel the shell forward. Now it's more like a Chinese Auction. And we can throw our tickets outside the box.

I hope there will be several DPL suck teams to represent our wonderfully sucky attitude. Suck on! er.. off? Nevermind.

I knew my culture entry was really going to take a smashing before I even entered it, but I enjoyed seeing and processing it - truly a TS kind of thing. I've been too concerned with my scores lately, and haven't been experimenting enough. So I decided to do some experimentation with culture, and also tried out a new lens. Kind of refreshing.
05/09/2007 10:04:35 AM · #1847
hmmmm I got a comment saying some of the elements in my Culture shot look "painted on" for a basic edit I guess that's pretty cool although my score took a nosedive so I guess the commentor didn't think so. I got another comment that totally got it though...happy dance, happy dance.

I will take over this process...

Thanks to meyers and xianart and quiet_observation for all they do for Team Suck...

For people asking to be in Team Spleen, we can't all squeeze into this little team! Please start organizing your own teams. Some people have already been invited due to earlier private discussions. If anyone drops off we'll invite more. But small team! Don't wait for us! And don't feel the need to keep it in Team Suck. This is separate from Team Suck and it will migrate into separate threads and not be a part of this thread, for those who are annoyed by it. (qv. Kelly's UnderFive)

Bump. :-) And adding Christian.

Any Suckers wanna make an appropriate gif?
