As i said dont wait up for me (said that many hours ago!) 5 more updates then a reboot and i can install Photoshop and then ill cut the mustang out test it against a background i promise say 9:30 to 9:45 EST?

Not sure what format with a transparent background is gonna work for you i assume PSP can open Alpha Transparent PNG's. Well find out i save it in PSD just incase i have to change formats for you. PNG should work fine.

EDIT - Photoshop is loaded and i am now cutting out the image as best as i can. Hopefully it cuts alright and works on the background. Cant get any worse hopefully a bit better?

Do what ya gotta do.... good luck.

Working working and working. It seems to be going okay. Im using two layers the base layer is 3 colors i sampled the background from your lgogo. Then pasted the car ontop. Im earasing the background fromt he car but i can see your background colros making sure the edges look good against the color when im done i remove the bottom layer and there is the car with no border.

Edit - Half way done... little more

Edit 98% done.... just need to edit around this tire deciding the proper course of action....

EDIT - DONE! My next post will be a couple preview shots and actual links to the files so u can download and use one of them.

Okay DONT USE THESE! .. heres examples One on the background, one on the transparency... and heres one that is actually transparent!

First two are full size feel free to see how clean of a job i tried todo...

USE THESE - The first 2 are sized for your logo.
PNG - Use for photoimpact - FInalCut - Small.png
PSD - Use for Elements - FInalCut - Small.psd

ONLY if u need bigger ones to work with there are also these two they are full size edits. PNG PSD

Just my 2 cents. I was thinking about having a night scene in the back ground like tokyo at night. And 3 stangs. One racing to the left, one straight on, and one racing to the right, with like speed trails behind it. Like a gausion blur looking like they are cooking, with a 3D 5.0 in the middle. I was gonna try and work on it today but I had to work 14 hours. Maybe tomorrow when I get home from work.

Wow those are great!! I'll work on the logo this evening but, considering you're on the east coast you may not want to wait up. I'm on the west coast so I've got a few more evening hours left than you do. I'm gonna go take care of some stuff.... you know life outside of DPC and DPL then I'll work on them tonight and you should see a post with it when you get in in the morning.

GREAT JOB!!

That sounds like it could be cool too. work on it and then we can all take a consensus on what everyone comes up with. It would be nice to have choices.

Thanks. It gives me something to get going on.... Remember down in one of my first posts when I said I was excited about this? I don't usually dip my toes in first to test the water.... I don't even just jump in on the deep end..... I cannonball in!!

Its a Cervini's catered Elanor Rip off and even the original 67 GT500 did not look like Elanor in the movie anyways.

First Impression:

after market grill made for the V6.....
Factory GT/California Special FAKE side scoops
+ the aftermarket window scoops
GT/CS mimicked side graphics.
Autozone Chevrolet Racing Strips
The hood elanor ... but it was ripped off of the last 12 imports cervini's put it on also.

We had a guy in the body shop with the exhaust, side skirts and spoiler and maybe the bumper. All based on factory and aftermarket apparently designed by Cervini's.

All adds up to fake Elanor... god i love busting down a good looking car into nothing but a pile of parts.....

Sheryll and everyone else remember the final logo is 120x120 (quote wrong earlier. Feel free to design it bigger for display but in the end is 120x120.

I keep getting a bar at the top saying "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors. Click here for options..." then when I click there and click display blocked content then it doesn't.

I'm gonna try to past the link into the browser so that I can see this "good looking car broken down into a pile of parts"...

Yeah I don't want to jinx us by putting anything less than 5.0 on the otherhand putting a 5.4 could be good karma.... know what I mean.

Well hell we could put a 1967 Shelby GT500 up there

In example....

It has a 428 which equates to 7.0 Litres!

Hey I thought I would get to the logo tonight but first life happened and then when I got on the computer to do it then the program I need to use wouldn't open. I'll have to figure it out in the morning and do it then since its already after midnight here.

But hey my challenge entry isn't doing too bad.

Make sure you vote on all the entries in the Cultural Events Challenge so that you'll be sure to give me a vote. I want to know your honest opinion and since you don't know which one is mine then you'd be sure to give an honest opinion (not that you wouldn't anyway). But after next week we won't be able to vote on eachother anyway. So vote 100% in that challenge.

Good night (well good morning by the time you read this)

Sorry I didn't get it done yet but, have faith... I will

Okay How is this one. I took your suggestion about the cap inside the 0. I don't know why the car doesn't come out as nice as you did it. Maybe I could send you all the pieces and you could put them together? I don't know.

Well an update on my challenge entry...

comparing the views to the votes it looks like it has thumb appeal but the comments I'm getting are what I expected. Since its only basic editing there was only so much I could do. Wait til they all see what I started with though. I'm happy though this is definately my personal best so far... if it stays that way.
