You may be right. I'll check dpc early Monday-morning.
Tate reccommends me to set my Challenge Submission deadline alarm one day before. Pleas tell my wife she can start riding the bus to work now so I can get in an hour at sunrise for some shooting. She used to always ride the bus many years, since she works downtown, until I spoiled her.

This afternoon we have a balloon release in remembrence of our loved ones who have died. It's done by members of tcf.org The Compassionate Friends, who share their compassion just one day a month, but it is an excelllent worldwide support organization. A great way t oencourage others, too.

I took some shots from a 26 feet in the air on a ladder, doing gutter repair work. I didn't have a "Cat-in-the-hat" hat. I will shoot lots of balloons in the air this aftenoon.

I have 11-days to renew my membership here. I will do it tonight.

John, if you were not ready to renew yet, let me know, and I can be the team captain for this round. My membership is good till January of next year and I know that the Team Captain MUST be a paid member.

Are you going to post photos of the balloon release? Would love to see that.

And keep spoiling your wife - I am sure she deserves it :)

hey guys, I am just checking in - planning to contribute all I can - the 2 side challenges for me have been fun...kept me on the ball as far as "seeing" photo opportunities. Will be checking in here regularly.

I hope so, there seems to be a HUGE gap between 24 and 48.
That is the number of teams. Only 4-teams have not been finalised, and then invited to the League, by dpc.

Please help get our team members to answer the invites.
I will send the past members personal emails, too (right now)--Done.

From the signup area:
"Currently there are 83 users in the free agent pool.
A total of 33 teams have been created so far, and 20 of those are finalized."

Okay, I sent a "Urgent Message" reminder to Asimchoudhri, and to both dsterners's email addresses, and to tlemetry. Maybe the web page status only changes at certain tomes or only when all invites have responded. I did get one auto-email response from jackel at home, which I saw before I left. I will try to check cox's web-based version of email from here.

If all 33 outstanding, proposed teams are finalized, and all 84 free agent pool members are divided up into teams of 5-each, that would give 49 teams.

Even then they may look at team averages.

If anyone knows the phone number of these folks, call them up, to claim their prize. I don't want to go to the Free Agent Pool, unless voted by currently accepted members.

ahh i get it - i don't like that the "accept invitation" link was in gray. I am used to seeing active links in a darker color. I assumed that when I clicked on the email I had already accepted it since the links were in gray.

I added a quick rendition of a logo.
Hope it's good enough, I'm not sure if it can be changed later.
It looked Empty, without a logo.

we were chatting last night and thought it would be funny to have a logo that was just a rock with a mohawk and a guitar.

I got in by going to the website. John was great at throwing out an urgent heads up to us all - everyone...a quick moment to our leader, JOHN! WOOOOO WOOOOO!!!

I saw the logo and I like it a lot, I thought the smiley faces were a nice touch.

We can actually recruit anyone interested, even after the 6-Week DPL season starts. Of course by majority vote, or approval of current members. It's the fairest method known to your democratic Team Captain.

Quoted below, from: DPL Rules

"You may:
-- substitute only one team member in a given season for another user.
-- add new users to your team at any time during the season, if your team began the season with less than the maximum number of players allowed.

If we don't see our teammates pics - and that is possible, how would we even know if we voted on a team entry. Do you know more about this?

Since I have already gotten in trouble once, who knows if I am on some flag list now. I think everyone ought to NOT show me their pics so I don't get the team in trouble. I personally plan on voting in a challenge that a team mate enters in the hopes of giving a photo points. Disclaimer: unwittingly of course and not with the intention of "friend voting".

Never mind - someone explained to me in another thread that it will be set up so that we cannot vote on each other's pics the way that you cannot vote on your own. Kinda cool cuz this means I can see what you guys are doing before the challenge.

I suggest tho that we use the Yahoo site that Teresa set up to discuss our photos. We should use the new personal team thread to do the rah rah stuff hehe.
