This particular image has now finished voting and as I expected stirred quite a bit of emotion amongst the viewers. This was an image that I had planned for sometime and felt the timing was right in regards to the challenges available. So here is the low down of it.

'Am I lost in my sins?'
Print Available

In total this image took 34 minutes to photograph and 15 hours of processing. A total of 31 images were used. The PSD files incorporated 133 layers, 84 masks...equaling 2.55GB in size.

I knew I would get people asking me how I did this image...so I decided to make a short video on the creation of this image. It runs for about 6 minutes and is available on the below link. Give it time to get started.

Nice work Judi. You look almost like a 3d poser model when you're moving the screen around. I almost expected it to end in a rotoscope animation.

I have to say that I was not overly fond of the image but there is no denying your talent and extensive photoshop knowledge thanks for a really interesting watch :)

Fantabulous job on the image and particularly on the video. The finished image reminded me of something my 9th grade girlfriend said about me. :/

A pretty fine finish in that competition for *gasp* digital art. :)

I'm sure if you ever needed help with an image like that, there'd be no shortage of folks here willing to lend a hand. ...yeah, like Brad.

Ok, question:
Why? Or better yet, where on earth (that may be an assumption in your case) did you ever get an idea like that?

Totally under rated Judi.

I am on my knees in awe.

Teach me or powerful one, I want to be your apprentice.

Brad,I came up with the idea of capturing the emotion where one feels trapped within ones own life...not in a physical sense...but an emotional sense. A sense that sometimes leads to a physical effect on the person involved.

And I started to picture a person that was being held back from their life by many hands...each hand representing another sin of that persons life.....almost like each hand reaching out from a portion of that persons life...and yet no hand with any attachment to a body or soul....just attached to a part of the persons past or mind.

And the image started to form...a person covered in hands...with a bland look on their face...earthy tones to represent the neutral side of life...and small indicators of both the good and the bad of life....hence, the rose, spiked dog collar, barefoot, hair pulled back to reveal the face, lace lingerie, feet and hand ornaments, whips and handcuffs. The eyes needed to be bland...but also show an inner pleading for the souls desire to reach their goal.

A goal that may never be reached.

And the image was then formed.

wow! I didn't realize each hand was real until I watched the making of it...I just thought you made a trip to the "second hand" store lol (ok sorry that was bad but art roflmao isn't around right now to say it.)

Totally awesome work Judi.
