Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM

A special thanks to

Azrifel.

When I was planning our vacation to Amsterdam I put out a call to DPCers in the area to see if someone wanted to go out photographing windmills and tulips. I asked

Biteme but she said she had to paint her living room. Yeah, right. Sander replied. He graciously agreed to pick us up at our hotel a take us on a drive through the Holland countryside. He even did a little preplanning to make sure we got some good tulip fields. I used shots from that day for the April Free Study and Triptych. Both yieled pretty good scores.

Afterwards, he took is to Hoorn, a 650 year old town along the coast where we had lunch.

This DPC network is awesome. Thanks to Sander for a great day. Here's a shot of the 3 of us. (That's our hotel in the background!)

Thanks David and Mary, I had a great time as well. You were good listeners to my ongoing babbling about history, cheese, windmills and tulips. :)

Didn't shoot much that day, but here are two I want to share when we were in Hoorn and showed them a little cheeseshop:

Can't wait to do a tour of Texas and a Texas BBQ. ;)

Actually, the bland rubbery thing in photo is me! ;-)
