Team 5.0 looking for some potential 5's

Okay I think this is my favorite so far. Do I have a right car? Is it a 5.0 and everything else okay with it? I hope its the right car cause I like this one. And it took a while to do but, this is fun stuff and I want to come up with something everyone likes or we could stick with what you have already.... okay I'm rambling... been on the computer too long and its past my bedtime.... later guys.

Well 1968-1995 had avaliable 5.0's The only modern stangs with 5.0's i believe is the yellow prototypr and i think the 2007 Shelby GT500's not sure.

Relax though i like what your doing. Getting ready to update the Original Post and gonna PM our other two new members to get them involved.

Okay before I start trying to get this one in there and then its the wrong car.... How about this one? What kind is it?

There aren't a whole lot of photos out there that are useable for what I'm trying to do and without obvious copyrights...etc.

Unfortunatly it seems botht h07 GT500 and the 08 GT500KR have 5.4 Triton's in them.

We could always try working with the clasic mustang tribar logo in a small fashion.

You can do a search on mustang tri bar.

As for sources as i said using things from frod espcially things i can source internally i dont mind at all, but do watch your sourcs. There is a certain amount of leeway for user art and avatars. Keep it small and claim fair use but dont use anything that some studfent or amateur artist created froms cratch. Public pictures of a mustangs are a green light.

There is always this 5.0 Prototype not sure what everyone thinks of it.

Aslo we dont have to stick to anything necesarilyl mustang althought its the more popular sports car as far as the 5.0 badge went.

Some More - try a search on Ford GTR. NOT GT just GTR.

okay I think I can get it now and I have a sort of new idea. The link you posted before to the yellow GTR didn't work for me but thanks to your last post I can use that one. Also I want to use the round logo you put in that last post as the zero in 5.0.... I'm gonna go work on that now and I'll post when I got it.

I have sent PM's to the two users that joined but didnt know about the thread and wanted to touch base get everyone together let everyone know were involved.

We are still looking for one more, currently in development of a logo. And later we will create some photographer's trading cards liek the WPL 4 teams had.

Yeah ill nitpick thehell out of it lol.

Thats the worst cut out since... well i was in kindergarden then again we were using apple 2's. I like it its cool.

....Id like to redo it for you though? Or Or heres beter because i probly cant redo ur 5.0 from scratch. Let me do the cutout on the stang and ill send it to you. And then u can re add it maybe? But tongith when i get home ill do an anti aliased cut out with a transparent background so you should be able to plop it right down on there.
It looked a bid jagged not sure if thats because of the cut out the resize method or the jpeg compression?

Im gonna try some of my own but youve done a good job putting different components together. I also invite anyone to contribute. Because after we make the team logo were gonna work on some signature bars and stuff which is actually where i liked your original idea the most.

All in all its up to the team well make em and vote on them. Without you guys there is no team so the decisions rest on yall.

I used Photo Impact Pro as the program and didn't do so much as a cut out but plopped in first then erased around it and dodged and burned on the front end to make it look sort of like a reflection and then smudged. I think it was the smudging that made it look so jagged. The text came right from the program and then I played around with the cap to get it blue so that it matched the text a little more then did the same with it to put it in. After I was so/so happy with it I saved and opened it in Elements 5.0 .... (hey there's another play on our name)...

Anyway thats where I did a little more in smudging to get the "dirt" area to be a little higher in the horizon.

I just play back and forth in different programs doing what seems to work and I save steps along the way so that I can go back and do things different if I don't like the way its going.

Anyway I have other stuff to go do so you work on getting it cutout for me then post it here and I'll work on it more later. It seems like I've been doing nothing but DPC stuff for the last 24 hours so I need to get back the the real world and get some other stuff done. I'll check back in later this evening.... unless I get done sooner.

Whats funny sheryll is i had the goal of voting 100% on all challenges and the past two days ive messed that up spending somuch time doing DPL stuff.

Ill work on the cut out tonight after 5 so thats 4 hours from now so dont wait up. You might also send me the background see if i can do anything with it. My only other thought is whats the 0 look like in that font because maybe you can use the actual 0 and then make the center part the one solid color and put the tribar in ther sort of like you have it now. The real 0 in the mustang 5.0 badge is not perfectly round so its okay.

Either way i like what your doing ill se if i can help yuo clean this up and well put it in the first post.

As for the logo were working on it. And i claim fair use and user art on anything we can. The ending results are tiny peices at such a low rsolution 100x100 most forums have this level of usage.

Im gonna make some of my own and invite others on the team todo so also. And well vote soon on them.

ANd making it 100% original its not like im gonna go build me a msuatng and take a photo lol. And in fact ford would have more grounds to sue me since i called it a mustang.

Ford recently tried to Sue 12 magazines that used the Mustang, Pony and or ford names and or logos. The issued 5 day cease and decist orders and told them all they had to pay 1,000 dollars a peice. Well none of the magazines stopped and its been a year i wonder what happened to that lawsuit.......

waiting patiently.... Also waiting for rollover for the Cultural events challenge. It's been a little while since I've had one in (February free study and before that was Dirt in December). I'm hopeful for this one to be my pb.
