Here are a few new photos I took tonight. My hometown had an official bridge dedication for the new bridge that took FOREVER to build! I haven't posted anything new in awhile, so I thought I'd share :) Comments are welcome.

Hmmm...maybe it's too late for most folks. |

I really like the night shot B&W. The reflection on the water is quite nice, and it is an overall peaceful scene. Good perspective and composition as well! :) |

All images are really very good, but for me B&W is definitely the best one. |

Nice photos, yes, I like the night shots. I really like the lower half of the colour image, with the stark white bridge and the green water. It would be nice to split the top half of the image and play with the colours up there to get them looking nicer. I'm no fan of the night-time orange photo colour. Maybe desat the top half slightly, and increase the saturation below it, and do some dodging to bring out the pylons and more detail below the bridge. Just some ideas - it's already a great shot, and I love the dreamy mist look in the night photos. I don't know if it's mist, or a PP filter, but it's great. |

Thanks all for the comments.
Surfdabbler... I actually have already slightly desated the upper part of the night photo because that monument can look really orange. I might play some more with it. Thanks for the comments. |

Oh, oh....... PRETTY!!! I love the night time shot of the bridge in color. Spectacular! From the white of the bridge below (a WB balancing act if I ever saw one), to the reflection of the bridge in the water, to the wonderful star effect on the lights, to the sharpness and detail.
A great big CONGRATULATIONS on a wonderful image!

Thanks! I just saw these shots over at my Dad's on his monitor and boy, am I ever glad I have this newer one! The BW one on his monitor had so little contrast.
One thing I was very grateful for...they had some really big orange construction / detour signs on the bridge right up until the dedication. They did take them down which kind of surprised me because it seems those are the kinds of details that are generally overlooked unless you're a photographer! They were right back up at the end of the night. |
