Where I am we're covered in smoke because of forest fires and the moon is all red (when you can see it).

The smoke made the sunset today (above) look really orange and cool, but I was not in a good place to get the moon rise. I did see it and it was beautiful to look at though.

The moon last night (here) was beautiful and red (no fires or smoke) but when it finally came above the tree line it was back to normal with a halo around it. Tonight we had rain so no chance to photograph it.

it's 9:40 pm - the sun won't set until 10:09pm tonight. Maybe, just maybe I'll get to see this awesome moon you all speak of by midnight.
