I was thinking the same... At least it seems "fair". I still suggest that such a drop after so many existing votes is surprising, and the fact that almost everyone commenting seems to have incurred a drop is also surprising.

Perhaps we all woke up on the wrong side of the bed and are voting harshly? :-)

this may sound like a pain in the ass, but my friend's score has been going higher and higher while mine dropped to the point of no return! aargh... hehehe

yep mine too. fell by 0.4 but still up there I hope. it is my first time here and didnt know what to expect. while my score is fairly high I have to say im disappointed in the massive drop. makes me wonder if people see a good photo and punish it so that their own photo does better if you know what i mean.
really hard to know how to score. for the scores i give to some people as to what im getting is a bit strange. hard to be objective when you see this happen. shouldnt have let my high score at the start go to my head as ive been brought down to the ROUND earth again.

Yup - freefall's the word. I've fallen 0.4 as well and as a result my score's plummeted to 9.6. Gutted.

Mine has dropped too. In most challenges my entries usually go up 0.5 - 1.0 over the course of the voting period. This time just the opposite. I guess the trolls are trying a different strategy. :)

* And BTW is everyone just overwhelmed with comments like me?

My scores almost and the same number of comments... This thread has really helped me a first timer keep my faith ;)

yea the comments have been awesome for me especially as a first timer here. i even had one suggesting a ribbon for my efforts. its really encouraging to read that, even though my score drops while reading it.

too bad ill need a seven or so to win in reality, but after reading that comment it makes it all worthwhile regardless.

Has anyone else noticed this trend? I'm not terribly concerned but I have never seen my score move so fast from so few votes.

Mine's dropping too. Could be a phobia that some people have in my case though. ;)

Still languishing in the low 9s - bummer...

Watching my score is funny. I climb everyday a few tenths of a point and then someone dislikes an aspect of my photo -- appears to rate me low (comments) -- drops my score -- and then I climb back up all day.

My picture is pleasing to some -- and distracting to others! I am learning to get an eye for what challenge voters like ; )

I've sored high too! And there are some good pics for this - some real cliches too (as usual), but mostly pretty good.

I'm gonna score everyone 1 from now on just so mine looks betta! ;)

My score has fallen and cant get up! But I dont expect it to get a high score because Its my first challange. Ive only gotten 151 votes out of what 292 . I voted on all 292. I belive it should be this way instead of only 20%. Dont give up hope just yet, there is still a coulpe of days left. Maybe it will go back up if people take the time to vote on all the submissions.

I saw mine start strong, then fall fast, and has been falling slowly. The thing that kills me, is that the only comments I get are good, if I keep dropping why won't anyone tell me why they keep voting it down.

As to the voting, I think you should have to vote on all or your entry is revoked, that way the site maintains equality to votes and to entries.

We tried this and it worked quite a bit worse.

I suggest the best strategy is to lead by example. Carping about others' voting and/or commenting patterns or habits has proven weekly to be at best completely ineffective, and at worst counter-productive.

Vote often and fairly, leave polite and helpful comments, and submit a photo for which you want others' honest appraisal. You can't control anyone's behavior but your own--don't stress out trying.

Now I guess I am firmly stuck at 4.9xxx - was hoping to stay at 5.000

The old timers will be able to tell - Are weekend voters more kind?
