Originally posted by Pixlmaker: Well, I'll say it now (it's already been said, just not by me)--if the Sabres don't pick up their game and start skating like they know how, the Rangers will win this series. I can't BELIEVE how lackluster these past two games were, win or lose. The only players on the Sabres who deserved to win the last two games were Miller, Zubrus, and Drury. Everyone else is playing like they're injured, or just don't care. Who would have thought Briere would have far more penalties than goals, and Afinogenov would be a healthy scratch! If we don't win on Friday, we're doomed. The Rangers are playing like their lives depend on it (Hell, in New York City that might be the case!).
We'll just have to wait and see... |
The Sabres are playing too much like previous President's Trophy winners, which is to say they are still trying to play regular season hockey and not playoff hockey. They need to tone down the cutesy passes in traffic and dump it in and crash the net something they just aren't doing at all in this series. Hopefully they will continue to not do this. :)

as far as NO GOAL - while the first "NO GOAL (in a nother series hurt a lot) I don't think they deserved this goal anyway - you can't show up in the game in the 3rd period and expect to win or tie. |

OMFG.. not again.
Sharks better win in overtime, or I'm mailing my jersey to the team covered in profanity. Bunch of useless fucks.
That's two games now. I'm a fan of the most useless bunch of morons in the Playoffs right now.
Like having your heart ripped out of your chest.

that puck over the glass penalty needs to go, i say treat it like icings: no change.
Its a joke that games are being decided off that call... |

I agree or at least make it a subjective call as in when a team can't get out of their zone and it looks like it's done on purpose to stop play.

Just a small correction. That was 1994, the year they took the Rangers to 7 games in the Finals. |
You're right, it was 1994.
And look at how well my Sens played last night - sooo proud of them! NJ had how many power plays and just couldn't get away from the Sens. Not that there weren't some tense moments but methinks the Devils have lost heart. Don't know if they'll get their mojo back in time, the Sens are traditionally a killer team on the road.
Can't wait til Saturday night, maybe I'll dye my hair Sens red :-) |

I love my Canucks, but I've got a feeling that Anaheim might be too much for them. The Canuckleheads have just been throwing away their powerplays. |

This is where we hold them, this is where we fight.
THIS is where THEY DIE!
Give them nothing, and take from them EVERYTHING!
GO CANUCKS GO!

I think a few Inglewood Jacks might help the Canuck's prospects.

It should be more like football, where the refs can get together and asess the situation, call it a penalty, or call it off if they feel it was unintentional. i remember a game about 3 months ago, the puck was in the air and a defencemen intentiatly batted the puck in the air out of play, and they just called it a deflection and no penalty. Even though its one of the few times i've seen someone intentionatly do it |

This could be the year for the Sens. They don't have the pressure like they use to when they were the favorites and they may get lucky and not have to face the Sabres if the Rangers beat them. Also not having Toronto in the playoffs is a big plus!

Sabres are gonna have to show up in the game a lot sooner than the 3rd period...or the last few minutes of the game anyway. Sabre fans can b^tch all they want, but they deserved the NON goal at the end of the game. Let 'em earn it! |

Bye bye Canucks. I guess it's only fitting it ended with a barrage of shots on Luongo. |

two goals that shouldnt have counted. anaheim may have outplayed us, but still... luongo deserved that win.
BS. |

Unfortunately, Luongo DID deserve that win.... too bad the rest of the team forgot to play, so didn't deserve it. Hell, if they could figure out how he can both score AND goaltend, they wouldn't need the rest of 'em! |

Luongo played amazing, 4th line played the best as well. Luongo better get MVP.
AND what a call that the ref didn't make which caused the game, a HUGE elbow right into the rookie Hansen's head(who by the way played some great hockey as well) |
