Any chance of Canon rebates? - DPChallenge Forums

Would I be stupid to hope for any Canon rebates in the coming 6 weeks? I am thinking of spending some money and would like to save some while I spend it ;-) if you see what I mean... bodies and lenses.

I have heard that Canon has rebates again sometime in May, although they tend not be as good as what they offer around November.

Now I know why you're called Slippy or was it Slippery... Since you bought that lens, you'd better get yourself a job in the back end of nowhere and find some nuggets my friend.

Maybe because Canon extended their last rebate period for an extra month they are going to kill off the April May offer which has been on the table for the last several years. Hopefully not. I hear there is a rebate going on in Europe at this time though.

I know at least here in Canada Canon has a rebate going on right now. $350 off 5D body, or 5D kit with any combos you can get. Same with 30D but its only $150. then theres also a handfull of lenses, extenders and flashes as well. it started in April and ends June 1st if i remember correctly, I can check when I'm at work tonight

Maybe that's hopeful then. I'm rather looking forward to trying out a 24-70mm and possibly a new body for the coming year.... I'd hate to buy it and then have a rebate pop up a week later...

good choice of lens! I love mine so much. if im not mistaken are Canadian rebate on it right now is $150

I'll take even pennies... and I'm banking on this because I sold my 28-135 this morning to boost the bank balance a little ;-) so am without a main lens...
