ooo, a 'great' from  Graphicfunk on my triptych. wow.
especially as i'm not completely happy with it. there are some sloppy bits in the editing, but i was so tired, and tired of it, that i just gave up...

| I hope I got some Suckers with comments on triptychs. Evidently I hit Don, though I have no idea which one is his. Christian, I had several hunches on yours, will be interested to see if any of those are correct. My Free Study just hit 6.0! Hope it holds. |

Heh. That's how I'm feeling - I have three going now. I'm pretty pleased with all of them. :) And the scores are good, too!

The only downside is my single comment on free study, presented here in its full glory, with nary a character slashed:

The score's irrelevant, and it shows up in the histogram at the end anyway. Giving meaningful comments takes energy, so I'd rather see someone save it for shots that move them to write something, not just tell me what they voted.

Very close to the single comment I have on my free study at the moment.
Mine says "Sorry - 4"
I say - don't be sorry. If in his view it's a 4, then it's a 4. *shrugs* Can't please all the people all the time, nor am I about to try. I need to learn to please MYSELF with my photos - and my clients, if there are any. Beyond that is just icing :D
BTW - did I mention I had another shoot this past weekend ? The family is featured quite prominently in the last few days of both my 30-day portraits and the 30-day kids sections.

Looks like it's the same person.
I sent her a PM explaining what I said above about not feeling obligated to leave a comment on every vote, and instead focusing on sharing suggestions for improvement, why something moved her, etc.
She responded nicely, asked me which shot was mine, and offered to leave a more complete comment.
Perhaps she doesn't yet have much experience absorbing and leaving comments.
Edited: she did go back and provided a nice comment that made it clear what didn't tickle her fancy. I sent her a PM thanking her for the good comment to encourage her.
