In CS, lets say I wanted to use a healing brush next to a bright object, I make a quick selection and work inside the selection to keep the bright object from effecting the healing. Now with CS3 a selection only keeps you from effecting outside the selection. How does it work in CS2? Bug or Design?

Don't have CS3 so can't comment on that but CS2 works the same as CS.
