In PS7 you hold the ctrl key while hovering over the pic and then left click and hold to move it...not sure it's the same for CS2 or not.

My kitchenware entry's on 5.26, but it does have 18 comments and a fave :)
Bubbles is slightly higher (5.44), but has half as many comments. |

Looks like a pretty good week, and a lot of comments! I'm usually lucky to get 5 or so during voting (though it's nice getting all the feedback from Team Suck afterward).

Well, my Triptych is in......I think it's pretty decent, but I guess it'll be up to the voters to decide that.
I got a couple of mediocre entries in Kitchenware and Thirds.....I feel like this week I'll do better.
I actually have a toss-up both in Free Study and Symmetry.....go figure.
We'll see what happens.
Thanks again for the help with teaching me how to do a triptych......I truly appreciate it!
I feel like death.....just got over the flu, now I have the kid's cold.....and she's got the sinus infection that seems to happen after colds......more to look forward to, but for now, bed.
I have a show to do next weekend.....a street fair booth.
Life is good!

Jack, I think these are some of the best shallow DOF shots I've seen. Not so much the subject matter, but the actual DOF. They appear almost 3-D. Since I don't have an SLR, I don't know what you are talking about when you mentioned that specific lens, but I can see that it is a very good thing. |

looks like my kitchenware is going end about 6 which is a new hi for me.
i have one entered in triptych that i think will suck in at around a 4.5
cant come up with anything for freestudy or symmetry.
i shot a frend from work and her kidos this afternoo and would like some commets. they were taken at the worst time of day so lite was harsh. I like this one but i tried converting it to B&w and played with some filters which i dont much about. so give me your thoughts before i show it to her tomorrrow. Thanks

my triptych is in. i dunno. they'll either love it or hate it. probably hate it. i'm not completely happy with it, but i'm just too tired to do anything more to it.

Griz, I love what you've captured in their faces. There is so much life. I think you could do better with the B&W conversion. Have you read the tutorial? After you get the b&w the way you like it, I think it would be good to try to sharpen up the eyes and teeth, perhaps with high pass. I think you could dodge a few strands of hair on the girl to bring a few highlights into it. I definitely think you have a very good thing there.

Let me guess -- a one man band with you playing the piano, cello, and drums, as you have been known to play the piano. |

This is why we get along so well, Deb. :) I could've written those exact words about myself. That's why I'm so thrilled when I manage to connect on something that doesn't rely on geometry. On the other hand, it's also why challenges like symmetry come pretty easily to me. |
Engineer, structure, order, balance, - add me to the list!

Thanks I will check out the tutorial. converting to b&w is something i have trouble with. here is one without the gradiant filter. which do you like better. |

Oh yeah, no problem, I just went out and shot things that would show the limits of the lens...and me, lol. I really need to work on my bracketing focus with this lens but I am really glad it has the ability to take shots like this. Thank you SO much for the input!! |

um, no. it's a little high school art project-ish, but, well, blah.

Almost got the brown ribbon in Kitchenware, and my Triptych is off to a bad start too. Granted, it's one vote, but it might be the best one I get..
