There is a registered user that has not entered any challenges nor has he voted on any of the challenges, but he does have 14 favorites and they are ALL nudes, this makes me think that he has different motives other the photography. I know that by posting nude photos, they aren't just perceived as art and may be used for other purpouses, but this guy is so blatantly obviuos about it.

Or maybe he is interested in taking artistic nudes, and is looking for inspiraton. There are easier places to get your nude kicks than on this site!

Ya think? Ok, maybe I should be flattered that he chose my two nude shots, after all it is easy enough to just go to the nude gallery if one needed to.

Paige, I wouldn't worry about it. Your two shots aren't the type that would attract that type of attention I don't think. They are great shots though.

I kinda like the first one myself the glow around the sillouette and the texture are wonderful.

I would just barely call them nudes I'd bet he's looking for ideas

Yeah, maybe as understandibly uncomfortable as I was when I checked to see who had picked my shots as favorites and saw only nudes in a profile of someone who doesn't participate but has been a registered user for two months.
Perhaps being a woman, I am more sensative then a man would be about this subject.
Maybe he could stick up for himself and reply to this post, a few words go a long way or he could slink off into the night......

I'm not sure what he has to stick up for. Are we not free to choose any shots we wish as favorites? Is there some unwritten rule that you have to select favorites other than nudes?

Would he be singled out (or considered "creepy") if he chose all pet pictures as his favorites?

disclaimer: The person in question is a friend of mine. I don't think he meant to creep anyone out, but he is upset about being singled out. He only comes around here when I have a pic to show him, and that's why he has an account.

cant I just come here and do what i please as long as it is within the rules...

I for example dont like to vote....so maybe you got something against me coz of that?

Yes, you can choose any shots you want to, but understand that if you only choose nudes and you do not participate by voting or submitting in the challenges then it may be taken the wrong way.

Come on, pet pictures vs. nude pictures where's the logic in that?

If I were in his position, I would certainly explain myself, if there was legitamate explaining to do.

i don't think he has to explain anything. why don't we ask others why they take so many pics of their cats? or why they take pics of their kids...what are they, weird or something? maybe there's a good explanation, maybe there isn't. I don't see how it's anyone's biznass tho.

In recent weeks there have been long threads about :

Criticism about a person voting low. this attack was done anonymously but in such a way that everybody could easily discover who it was. The person in question acted in the only way possible by removing herself and her ribbon pictures entirely off dpc. Then the same people who spent a long thread discussing her voting pattern loudly claimed that they weren't responsible for her decision.

Criticism about people not marking any comments, even the most favorable, helpful.

Now there is criticism what pictures a person selects as Favorites.

Is any of this really anybody's business? Dpc is more and more becoming a very boring chatroom with little discussion about photography.

I wasn't "checking on what other people do", I was seeing who picked my photos as a favorites, I always check to see who they are and what experience/tastes they have. I was a bit taken aback by his tastes and questioned his reasons for being here.

Yeah if you don't want people to add pics to their faves, I wouldn't submit for sure... someone liked your stuff...I'm surprised anyone would ever do anything but send a nice PM thanking them (like the one I got from carolee just today)
