As many of you already know, my wife and I are blessed with a wonderful, charming, HEALTHY, and loving son.

He turns two next month and is truly the most wonderful thing that could have ever happened to us. Words cannot express the joy we felt the day we took him home from the hospital nearly two weeks after he was born.

Many of you may also know that Stephen was born 5 weeks premature. At just over 4 lbs, he was too weak to come home immediately and had a few minor set backs during his stay in the hospital.

We are very fortunate that he suffered no long term problems associated with his early arrival. During our stay in the NICU, we met many parents who were NOT so fortunate. The experience really opened our eyes to the problems that are faced by premature babies. The really distressing part is that it happens all too frequently. Many babies are faced with life long health problems and disabilities due to the complications associated with their birth...

My wife and I have been compelled to do what we can to help those who are less fortunate. We participate in the March of Dimes Walk America and are helping gather donations for this worthwhile cause. If any of you would like to contribute, please click here to donate. We have established a goal of only $200 this year because we received our information late, but we would love to be able to surpass this if at all possible. Thank you in advance.

-Lee

I wish you the best of luck reaching your goal! It's a wonderful thing your doing. I would donate to you, but I had already donated to a friend whose baby was born a premie, and not so lucky about not having long term complications.

We've passed our goal, but would LOVE to see more donations... The walk is this Saturday so if any of you can find it in your heart, we're still accepting donations.
