The shoot I had planned to throw in some bubbles with got rained out but I got one to work for rule of thirds. I'm kinda bummed though, I bought a little bubble machine and everything!

I have no more ideas.
D=
I've found it's hard to get bubbles in liquids without adding soap.
And when adding soap, its easy to tell that soap was added.
I'm having a bad hair day in photography terms..
Perhaps using the waterproof digital would be better..
Agh.
I'm close to giving up.

Someone did this last year in Love park in Philadelphia with a box of detergent. Suds flying through the air. Bubbles 4 feet high.

Vandals Fill Love Park Fountain With Bubbles

How fun! There was a big fountain back in Orlando that used to have bubbles every time I went! None that bg but it was fun to fight with the suds at 3 in the morning. I hate how they call them vandals! Bit harsh. Understood it might... I dunno... mean the water has to be cleaned? But it's not like gang graffiti or destruction of property!

Edit to add... I just read the article instead of simply looking at the photos. THOUSANDS to clean up? I don't even get it but ok! Speculation is a funny thing because you can say whatever you want. Did anyone update to see how much it did cost? LOL.

I'm in... I just hope voters don't burst my bubble.

I've finally submitted my entry.. It was a bit sloppy, but better than my previous two. =x

A note to people still scrambling for ideas,
hand sanitizer and liquid laundry soap hold bubbles very well in clear containers. They hold other things well too such as.. Well, pretty objects.
I won't list them incase someone had the idea before I did.
I didn't use the idea. Just saying.

One could fill a tank with laundry soap and put a toy diver and a shark in there and it'd hold.. With bubbles around it.
I was experimenting but got hollered at for wasting soap.

It isn't too bad an idea.
;)

When does this start? Does it start at 12pm your time? In like, half an hour?
04/24/2007 11:38:33 AM · #36
I think it's like.. Midnight by the server at the bottom of the page.
There's still time.
If all else fails..
Take out the dish soap and a ring and let the suds fly.

And I don't think voting starts until the next day.
XD
Well..
It's good if you suddenly decide you don't like your submission, right?

I guess I'm getting a little fidgety too.
There's nothing to do.
x_x
Atleast it's only a day or two.
It could be like..
A week.

Maybe it's because Philadelphia is dirtier than New Orleans? Maybe the thousands required is to make to dirty parts of the park look like the newly cleaned parts? :P

Nagin was no reason to apologize. I live in Philadelphia and people throw their trash on the ground as they're walking down the street. It's barbaric.

Most likely the "thousands" were for nobid contracts to relatives.

Contest for "Dirtiest Block".

Friendly reminder for those who may have forgotten (or didn't know):

NEVER let bubble solution of any kind touch the front element on your lens. It can actually eat away the coatings on the lens and do ugly damage.

Well I suggest you go to sleep and get up early . . because of the time difference the comp closes (and so voting begins) at 12pm server time or 5am UK time. It could be a long wait if you don't go to bed till the voting starts :- )

On the other hand it leaves you ages to take and submit a picture if you want to .
