IF YOU NEED GLASSES WEAR THEM BEFORE VOTING. IF YOU ARE BLIND DO NOT VOTE. IF YOU CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IN FOCUS AND OVERSHARPENED DO NOT VOTE. IF YOU ARE GOING TO LEAVE A COMMENT LIKE "OUT OF FOCUS" MAKE SURE YOU AREN'T TALKING OUT YOUR ASS. MOST DECENT SHOTS HAVE SOMETHING IN FOCUS - JUST BECAUSE YOU MISS IT DOESNT MEAN IT DOESNT EXIST. ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU CAN TELL FOCUS IN THE TWO SECONDS YOU LOOK AT MY SHOT?

done.

LMAO! WHY ARE WE ALL YELLING? YOU MAKE A VERY GOOD POINT THO....

LET'S NOT FORGET MY FAVORITE: "TOO MUCH DETAIL HERE"

IF THE POINT OF A PHOTOGRAPH IS OBVIOUSLY TO CAPTURE DETAIL AND SOMEONE LEAVES THE APERTURE SMALL ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN SEE ALL THE DETAIL, PERHAPS THEY MEANT TO CAPTURE DETAIL AND PERHAPS A COMMENT LIKE 'TOO MUCH DETAIL' IS LIKE SAYING 'GEE YOU DID WHAT YOU WANTED TOO WELL. I DONT LIKE THIS.'

OH AND ANOTHER COMMENT I GOT "WOW I REALLY REALLY LIKE THIS. IT'S GREAT. 4"

WHY THE FOCK ARE YOU GIVING ME A 4 IF YOU REALLY LIKE IT? DO YOU THINK WE'RE VOTING 1-5 AND 6-10 IS JUST OVERKILL HERE?

Mavrik... to be honest (erm... yikes!) I agreed there was too much detail in that shot. It was difficult to know what to focus on, I think a good composition will naturally lead your eye to certain places. In yours, it was sensory overload!
Just saying I could see where that comment was coming from,
I know you liked it, but we're all entitled to our opinions!

OMG I JUST LOOKED AT THOSE TWO PEOPLE'S PROFILES WHO SAID 1) OOF AND 2) DONT PUT THE SUN IN THE SUNSET. ALL I GOTTA SAY IS THIS: I WOULD LIKE AN OPTION TO BLOCK COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE WHO NEVER SCORED A GD 4 IN THEIR LIFE. WTF I NEED TO HEAR THAT FOR? "OH OH YOUR PIC IS OUT OF FOCUS" WAS THAT THE COMMENT YOU GOT 10000 TIMES LAST WEEK AND DECIDED TO PUT IT ON EVERYONE'S PIC THIS WEEK? "KEEP THE SUN OUT" WHY, SO NEXT WEEK YOU STAND A CHANCE?

(I'm calming down, really)

THEN WHY DID MY OFFICE ART SUCK? IT WAS SENSORY UNDERLOAD? WTF. IS THIS POLITICS? A RACE TOWARDS MEDIOCRITY? TRY TO CAPTURE THE MIDDLE BEFORE YOUR OPPONENT DOES?

(just ranting nothing personal :))

Your Office Art got 5.96!! That's pretty good..
My nude shot is on about 5.5 at the moment, and I think it's a masterpiece. The public just don't know a good thing when they see it!

(Finally calming down...sometimes the mass of stupidity overruns me and I feel like I'm going to burst)

LOOK FOR THE GOOD FIRST! YOU WILL FIND IT! AND IF YOU SEE ANY DISTRACTIONS, THAT'S ALWAYS OKAY TO LET THE PERSON KNOW--BUT PLEASE BE SPECIFIC AND PLEASE BE POLITE!

THIS IS SO MUCH FUN, YELLING! BUT IT MAKES MY THROAT HURT.

OMG! What a great idea! I don't think it necessarily has to be ppl that have never scored higher than a 4 but this would be a great feature I'd really like to see.

Why stop there, why not block comments from people who have never entered a challenge!? Can't shout, have to save voice for work. 8-(

um.... guys... if you start blocking comments... or don't receive comments from people who haven't entered a photo... then why the hell should they even take the time to look at think about your photo... personally I think that if they have taken the time to give you a comment, or even just copy and pasted.. then they had to have looked at your photo, and it made them want to comment... thats just me though...

I LOVE LOTS OF DETAILS IN PHOTOS! DONT TAKE AWAY THE DETAILS PLS. NOTHING LIKE A BORING PHOTO OF A SINGLE ITEM AND MAKE ME WANTING FOR MORE, HEHE. THOSE WITH LOTS OF DETAILS MAKE ME STARE LONGER BEFORE I VOTE, AND IF I STARE LONGER, I USUALLY GIVE HIGHER VOTES!

p/s: yelling is cool

LOL, they probably meant that what WAS in focus wasn't what they expected to be in focus. :D

All comments were not created equal.

..which is why you're entitled to ignore any comments you'd like to ignore, and since they aren't anonomous, you can check to see how valid you think the person's opinion is based on their past work/comments if you'd like.

THIS SEEMS TO BE THE NORM ON MY LAST FEW ENTRIES. 20 COMMENTS ON U?'S AND MOSTLY GOOD...4.897...IN FOCUS...GOOD LIGHTING...I THINK IT SCARED THE WIENERS ON THE SITE. AND NOW IT IS HAPPENING WITH THE ROUND. 4.777. AS ABOVE, BUT NO COMMENTS. ALL I EXPECT IS "WHERE IS ROUND, DOESN'T MEET CHALLENGE, AND TOO MUCH BLACK." I HOPE THERE IS VOTING THE WAY I DO. A FEW COMMENTS AS I VOTE, THEN GO BACK AND DO THE LOWEST RANKED FIRST. NOT GONNA HOLD MY BREATH THOUGH.
That felt good. (C:

I DID A FAIRLY CLOSE REPLICA OF ONE OF THE BEST SELLING PHOTOGRAPHS ON A MAJOR STOCK HOUSE. 99 OUT OF 100 OF US WOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR ADMISSION TO THEM BECAUSE THEY ONLY TAKE GREAT PHOTOGRAPHERS. AFTER COPYING ONE OF THEIR GREAT SHOTS, I AM AT 5.30 AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO PULL THEIR HEAD OUT OF THEIR ASS AND STOP TAKING THEIR 3.9 FROM LAST WEEK OUT ON US IN THE FIRST HOUR OF VOTING.

AND FURTHERMORE, WHEN I SELL THE FIRST PRINT OF THIS WEEK'S ENTRY, I'M GOING TO POST IT RIGHT HERE.

AND THEN SOME!

Oh, Mav, I thought you were feeling better, and here you are yelling again. I think you need a break from DPC. My score is 4.5, and am I yelling? No, I'm calm as a summer's day, see me smiling? Yes, I'm gritting my teeth but I'm doing my best to remain calm and NOT START YELLING!
