... plus, isn't game 7 at the Saddledome? Doesn't Calgary have the best 'at home' record?

Game 7 is at The Joe, Detroit has Home Ice advantage... :)

In that case I'd probably favour Detroit.

That's ok as long as Vancouver wins the other series. I don't have much faith in Ottawa (even though they've made it through round 1.) They tend not to show up for the third period.

IF Detroit can get to them like they did in the last game we'll win for sure, once the flames start getting frustrated, they stop playing. Otherwise it'll probably be a good fight and will probably go to a game 7. When Calgary is in the game they're pretty tough, so this really could go either way.

Go Stars......go Stars.....go STARS!
We'll see how many can play after the last game. Burrows in going to have to be vewy, vewy ca'eful! His number will come up probably at the first puck drop!

Oh, did I mention...go Detroit...did I say that?!!!

Detroit is in the second round!! WOO HOO!!!

I hope they do take them for granted especially since the Rangers haven't beaten them in two years.

It would have been at the Joe, but that's a moot point now.

Calgary's home record didn't do them much good last night.

Yeah! The Canucks are going on!

Man.. I got home from taking the girls to the park.. turned on the TV, and saw Henrik Sedin score the tying goal..

Then watched the rest.

I'm still uncertain as to whether or not I'm happy... but I hate Dallas with a passion, so...

Still, it means San Jose / Detroit.. and I hate Detroit even more.

I get way too nervous to watch. I'm so glad it didn't go into overtime.

If it ends up being Ottawa against Vancouver, oh man, that would be so hard.

Argh. Dallas couldn't buy a break in this series. I think they hit the post more times then they scored. Meanwhile, Vancouver gets lucky bounces off end boards and steal games they had no business winning. Even with that had Dallas shown just a little discipline in game 7 they win this series. Just wasn't meant to be.

It's almost never meant to be in Dallas :)

Hey, they had things go their way when they stole the Cup they never should have won in Buffalo in 99 ;)

there were SO many undisciplined penalties tonight, I can't believe there were no calls against the stars for goalie interference, its brutal!

Have any of you guys played NHL Eastside Hockey 2007? It's for the PC/MAC. I made the mistake of downloading a demo recently and now I'm hooked. It's not big on graphics but it's quite fun to play. Basically you run a franchise as general manager/head coach. It has over 45,000 players in the game and licences for over 20 real hockey leagues including the NHL, Juniors and those over in Europe.

Not me.. I'm more a fan of arcade type hockey. NHL2K7 on the PS2 is my speed. I ignore the management side of things and just rack up 32 - 0 scores for 10 seasons in a row :)

Even with all those penalties it seemed the refs were only calling about 1 of every 3 infractions that were going on. The Stars definitely got away with some. Not having Zubov really hurt as he's so good at calmly moving the puck out of their zone and they really struggled in that aspect which led to many of those penalties.
