Day 23 - Another Hat
Don't know this guy's name but he is a stilt walker from a circus group called Earthbound Misfits. His friend on the unicycle nealry ran me down seconds later.
Not as glamorous as being a war correspondent but I kept shooting until the last second before diving out of the way which got me a small round of applause from a nearby group of naughty nuns and some people dressed as dogs.

Saturday I was able to shoot about 100 candid's of people during an annual event held at Fresno State called Vintage Days. This is one of the many.

DAY 23 Finally complete strangers
I went out and summoned the courage to ask this couple if the wouldn't mind me taking a picture. Here is the result, not perfect but I like it.
ETA: Today was the first time I tried going out and taking street shots. Mostly candids and others like this one. It is very difficult at the beginning but later on you realize people don't pay attention to you and after 30 minutes you feel confident enough to go and ask.
I read some tips (Luminous Landscape I think) about street photography and it really works. This is what I did: instead of having the camera strapped around the neck I rolled the strap on my arm and held the camera with one hand all the time (a bit tiring hehe), I used aperture priority and when I saw anything I liked I just put he camera to my eye level, framed, shot and put the camera away. It works most of the time once you get used to your camera. People don't notice and if they notice they don't mind, have your best smile ready and wear sport shoes... just in case ;)
