Hay, I was told it had nothing to do with size, it’s what you can do with itâ€Â¦.

Well, certainly the right angle helps too :) But without the size, it just isn't the same sometimes...

The poem was, ummm, lovely. Or, well, I'm not just sure what it was. But I also have to give a shout out to Bob bmartuch for his comment on that particular shot - cracked me up. :-)

Spent the day on a tour which involved a train or two or four, a distant (well, not that distant) city, lots of pictures and wandering about. Still waiting for the card to load.... Hoping I'll have something for Rule of Thirds, even if it isn't. And unless I use one of my own brilliant suggestions, I probably won't be in the kitchen thing.

What, Deb? A Hoover who can't find something that sucks?? I will do Kitchen in the morning, it will probably be down to my usual satndard.

Woot I accidentally took a photo for rule of thirds, I think , kind of, well I accidentally took a photo I really like so I'm in.

That's what happened to my original idea for Kitchenware.

So.....I'm in for Rule.

Unrelated item: Staples has on sale a CF card, Sandisk, who are okay for $34.99......2GB

And I am getting a lot of comments and a really decent score for what I thought was a decent, but ordinary shot.....go figure!

My lens isn't very big but it's sensitive and has stamina!

Yeah, it's fun. I used to be a pretty good Trivial Pursuit player. My mind's stuffed full of useless facts. :)

I ended up entering kitchenware after all. Can't see it scoring well, but at least it might make people laugh :)

I'll try and enter a decent one for bubbles instead... Got some candidate shots today, but I'm still not happy with them. There was a load of us busking on the street, and I was torn between two hobbies - I was spinning poi and dancing around for half the time, and taking photos the rest of the time. I missed some good shots, but the adrenaline rush of performing in front of a big street crowd sorta made up for that.

Mine does not have a lens...
so I am not really sure what that means... hmmm

Hello to all!

Is anyone planning on joining the DPL when it starts again? Is anyone already on a team? Just curious. I like to compete and think that it would be fun.

Writeheart - I am on the Motley Crew and I think we are looking for one or two members if you are interested. We did not rank that high lol. But it was fun to compete.

I have a photo in Bubbles that I love. So I think that means I shall go abstract for Kitchen. And that means that it will not be well received lol.

I am in Kitchenware - not a particularly inspired idea, but I think it passes muster. It's at least worth a 4 :) All my entries so far have been indoor, "props"-type shots - I'm going to have to get outside and get snapping!

I think it's good too (which is why I was showing it off), but it needed too much perspective correction from the original to be allowed in basic editing.
