Here's a link to a nice star chart. It's interactive and you can set it for your world location and time.

Skychart

It might make it easier for you to find where to look.

Also if you want to get a great interactive downloadable program, Stellarium just about can't be beat. My 7/yo daughter is hooked.

Thanks for the heads up, I was at first wondering if I would actually get to see it since I'm in Japan but the website says "good timing for Asia but in daylight for North America." So maybe I have a small chance.

Only problem is I have a better view of the west then the East...times like this I wish I was at my old base where I looked East over the ocean...don't get much darker than that lol.

Nice free online one. Is also a Mac Widget. Not sure if the have it as a Gadget yet.
