Doesn't anyone like the 24-105F4.0IS? I was thinking of picking one up but now I'm getting worried. |

Like others said, it depends what I'm shooting.
My favorite is my 70-200 2.8IS, although I don't use it as much as I'd like.
My 24-70 2.8L is the one I get the most use out of for events and such. It is very fast and sharp.

...apart from the abovementioned 85 and 50 |
Or my mention of the 28mm f1.8 |
... or Kirbic's mention of the 15m f2.8 fisheye.
My favorite = Canon 17-55m f2.8. :)
Followed closely by my 50mm 1.4 prime. |
Okay, okay I get it. [Note to self -- read thread a little more thoroughly next time.] ;)

My favorite lens is my 28-105mm 1:3.5-4.5 USM (The one that says 'MACRO' and Made in Japan). It's on my 5D 95% of the time. I'm a pixel peeper and a perfectionist and I can honnestly say that it's so sharp that I still can't beleive I got it on ebay for less than $CAD250.
My second best lens is the new 70-200mm 1:4 L IS USM and I also use a Canon 1.4x II extender with it with no loss of picture quality.
For low light, I have the 50mm 1.8 Version 1 (Metal mount) and I'm wondering if I should get a fixed Canon 50mm 1:1.4 USM to replace it. My 50mm 1.8 has no problems at all, I just don't like the AF motor noise compared to USM lenses. Any comments on this is welcome.
I'm also looking at the Sigma 50mm 2.8 Macro EX DG and the Canon 35mm 2.0.

That's a sweet lens. The photos are so great right out of the cam. However, I have the dreaded back focusing around the 70mm level. Have to get it fixed.
