This seems to be the "official" (and non-April Fools Day joke) thread, and it says DPL is expected to go live on 1 May:

I didn't see a response to the two questions asked in-thread about sign-ups, but I understood those as starting on the 1st of May from reading the first post.

There is a good incentive to get in early as a "finalized" team, as there's a strange rule about the total number of teams needing to be divisible by 24:

pamelasue create the team, issue the invitations, and have at least five of us accept quite quickly would seem to be pretty important -- much more important than it should be, I would think, but no one asked me ;) This could be a bit dodgey with two of us in the UK, but it all depends on when the thing is actually started (time and date) and whether it's a rollover thing (bad) or at a "more normal" hour (good).

I know I need to get a pic up for the trading cards, but I can't stand taking my own picture. I'll do it soon, I promise.

I will probably need one of our other team members to officially sign us up for the next season ... I'll be out of the country and away from a computer from April 25 through May 3 ... but back in town in plenty of time to shoot for the first week!

Last season GabyG was our captain, but out of town for sign-ups, so I handled the registration process ...

It wasn't a big deal to do but I guess we'll just need to wait for official instructions from Langdon regarding the sign up of new teams ...

Yeah I'll keep an eye out to. Normally I'm on Dpc every five minutes except during the weekends, but this weekend I'm in training at work, so I haven't been as active. I should be pretty active then. Even though May 1st is Labor Day, I'll remind myself to sign up.

I think last year we needed member names and member numbers.

Well lets get that information. I have never signed up before so you will need to tell me what all I need from everyone. We can send it all to my email address and we could send a copy of everything to

I think it might be useful to have someone who's dealt with WPL before (at least with their own invitation and confirmation) handle this, so that us newbies aren't confronted with something totally new that also seems to be pretty important.

I can do whatever is needed to help out (other than my hesitancy to handle the sign-up having never been through WPL before), so just let me know (I'm still working on the picture for the cards; could I just submit a landscape or a church or a bug or something instead of my face?).
