I've been ending up taking my camera and laptop around a lot lately and been getting very annoyed from carrying two bags around all the time. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good laptop+slr bags. I'm looking more for a backpack than shoulder bag but am open to anything. I wanna carry my rebel, 3 lenses, flashgun, and laptop+plus accessories.

Many SLR bags the kind that and i wish i could keep a straight face and look you one up.
But theres several backpack style ones that hold the camera in the top with an attached lens and has space downt he sides.

something like that holds the laptop ont eh zipup cover. |

I recently got the LowePro CompuTrekker : linky.
I've found it useful for flying, but not so great for an all day photo outing as it just doesn't sit on the back very well. I've come to th econclusion that I'm going to have to get another bag for all day walking. |

a curious question to dSLR-totting photographers - what else do you carry during a walkaround? |

As a person who travels most every week on business, I don't dare leave home without my camera and my laptop. Therefore, I use the Lowepro CompuDaypack.

I find it very comfortable on my back,it could be either im too young to feel the pain, or that i got used to it maybe |

| My vote goes to the LowePro CompuTrekker too. I've used it for the past 6 months or so and I'm very pleased with it. |

Since I hate camera backpacks (they're just too damn awkward), I have the LowePro Stealth Reporter 650AW for when I want to bring my laptop.

Kata R-103
- comfortable to wear even when loaded
- easy to get in and out of
- holds a ton of gear
- you can drag it behind your car and not hurt it (but please don't ask me how i know this...)
here's what i carry in mine every day :
d70
nikkor 18-70mm
tamron 90mm macro
sigma 30mm
tamron 70-300mm
sb-800
sb-600
fong's lightsphere w/ dome
lumiquest ultrasoft
strap
filters
charger/cables
cards
other junk (pens, knife, business cards, lactaid pills, etc...)
still have room for another lens or 2...

I'll echo Spazmo's recommendation for the Lowepro Stealth Reporter D650 AW . Great bag that I have used when traveling and wanting to take all my camera stuff. Hooks over the handle of my full-size carryon and slips nicely under the seat on the flight.

| I have the Crumpler Keystone bag. Pretty expensive, but I love it. It can hold up to a 15" laptop I believe, and plenty of room for photo gear. |

I use a couple of bags but the one I prefer is the Crumpler "Brian's Hot Tub". I added the waist belt and it is very comfortable - but it is large! Will hold a 17" laptop (yep - business laptop for me) and has some external pockets and can handle a tripod...
Bad news is that they have stopped making them but you can still get them discounted.
