I like the current landscape challenge and I've been waiting for a painting with light challenge, but let's say we combine them for a paining the landscape with light challenge.
rules - advanced
description - paint a landscape (rocks, fields, buildings etc) with light, whether strobe, flashlight or lighter.

This is a little late in the game to say this, but is there something preventing you from using painting with light in the current Landscape challenge? :)
One way to get higher scores is to combine unrelated but well done technique with challenge topic. That is always a good idea.
In a challenge devoted to one particular technique you are interested in and all you do is meet the challenge with it then chances are you will not get a high score.
The trick for higher scores is to effectively apply a technique you are interested in in a challenge that has nothing to do with it but a challenge where you nail the challenge topic as well.

Definitely a good point there St.D. Maybe not too late. I think I can redo mine doing just that! Hehehehehehe. OK, hopefully nobody else reads this...

a thing to add, say in the Hair challenge if you just take a picture of someone that has hair, technically you met the challenge, but won't get a good score, you need to think outside the box, but not too out of the box, you have the find the median that Shannon has found, which is why he slaughters everyone in challenges |

Great point :-) As for Shannon, I don't think he so much thinks outside the box, he just has the ability to expand the boundaries of the box :-)
...or, maybe it's that he is able to flip the box over, and look at it from the other side as everyone else! :-) |
