I didn't realize I was shooting so much until my 1st battery died just as Jade was running towards us. By the time I figured out what happened, and got the battery changed we were swamped by the crowd. I found a lot of repeats, as a lot of the animals weren't moving. I think my birds turned out the best. Some shots came out a little soft...I should have bumped up my ISO a little. I still need to work on looking and making those adjustments in-field. It is a completely different pace than in the studio!

I forgot to mention that I had a blast yesterday! It was very nice meeting everyone.

Alright I'll post a couple, but first I gotta say yesterday was awesome. The weather was good, the company was great, and I got some really amazing photos. Overall I think the GTG was perty dag gern good, and I'd do it again in a second.

Alright, just a quick run here. I'll post some more when I get a couple more seconds to process.

This is a GREAT shot! No thanks to me...you had the spot picked out ahead of time! I was going to ask if you had anything turn out, but thought you might enter it in a challenge. So, I thought I would wait. I am glad it turned out for you. Anytime I have something envisioned, something goes wrong! I am working some shots up now, and hope to post some by the end of the night. Again, GREAT shot.

I hear ya drew, you don't know how many times I set out for a shot, and never got it, or something goes haywire. I have camped 150mi from home, more than once to get a sunrise, just to wake up and have it raining.

This shot certainly had the potential to be a lost cause. It was a shady part of town. Not at the location, but getting to the location. After we got there, we felt safe, and even slept for an hour or two in public. <--I love doing that. This was only after we crossed the state line, like 4 times looking for a spot.
