Hello!
I dropped some things off at our church garage sale last night and I looked around (of course) and on our 'antique' table there was a Kodak Little Brownie camera. (last year there was about 3 or 4 old camera, but I didn't get one) I tagged it and hopefully they will hold it till I get there on Saturday morning to help. I did a quick search online and all I can find is a baby brownie. It actually looks like a baby brownie special. Could it be a BBS, but still say little brownie on the back of the camera? Does anyone know if camera shops would develop this film (127)if I got some? (and if the camera works)I would appreciate any info. I'll probobly have more details once I get the camera in my hands. Thanks!

I found this on eBay, with photos - is this what you're looking at the church auction?

Rocky Mountain Film Laboratory seems to specialize in developing old film/film types.

I don't know if this helps or not but,

While in collage I was really excited about pinhole photography and would always be on the lookout for old film back cameras to "pinhole out". In this search I have found a ton of info on old cameras.

that is called a little brownie b/c it was released between the brownie and the baby brownie. it was also the first self loading and unloading camera. I have two of them myself, and love them both. I have modified mine to take 120 film (which was not hard to do) and still shoot them today. I have a friend who is getting married and wants her wedding shot entirely with old camera's to go along with the theme of "vintage wedding". I think they are a little eaiser to find, but overall still a find. I have been working on a way in theroy to fit a digital sensor to one, I have a spare digital sensor from an early point and shoot camera I found at a thrift store.

hope that helps, and if anyone finds anything that contradicts what I said I would love to know. it's sometimes hard to find info on these things and all my finding are based on the internet and we all know how accurate that info can be.

*edit for typo

I don't know anything about them. However, I know that I can rent one from a local museum here. They take care of developing the film.

Thanks everybody! GI Joe, your info helps because I couldn't find any info on a 'little' brownie, only the baby. Even the Kodak timeline I found doesn't mention a little brownie. Ebay had a few Baby Brownies for sale. Some with the box and instructions. (I might try to get one, just to have the complete package) I can't wait till tomorrow morning when I can get it. Once I get it, I'll have to check out Rock mtn film and also see about the conversion to 120. Thanks again!

OK, I was 99.999999% sure it was a little brownie, but it is a baby brownie special. (Even some people at the garage sale said 'little' brownie.) OOOOOPS! Sorry about the mix up. I paid $5 for it and it is missing the strap. My dad says he has one in the attic, so I'll have one to play with and one to keep nice. Now I have to find film....Thanks again for your input!
