I was wondering what is the best type of lighting kits to use for studio. I am wanting to purchase some lighting equipment but do not know much about it. Please help.

Before everyone else jumps in with their blind recommendations for Alien Bees, what's your studio like? What kind of shooting are you doing? Do you know what equipment your local camera shops and rental stores carry?
