The Sharks of course.. This is their YEAR.

And I'm not saying that like Ottawa fans say that.

However, if the Sharks can't pull it out.. I'd really, really like to see the Pens take it in their stead. That's a team of almost destiny methinks.

At least Buffalo is in an area where 'real' winter happens so they should have at least some inkling as to what hockey is.

I hate to disappoint you, but the stars wont be making it out of the first round...

So you say. They are rolling right now but I'll grant you the Canucks will be tough. Didn't every game in the series this year end in 2-1?

More disappointment...the Rangers will not make it past the Thrashers. 3-1-1 this season in favor of the Thrash. I'll go ahead and predict it...Atlanta takes it to KEEP THE CUP IN THE SOUTH for the THIRD straight season. Go Thrashers!!!

We can do even better than real winters. Our player that grew up closest to Atlanta is Jim Slater...from Michigan. Everyone else is foreign (or Canadian). That's how you win.

Yes. The Stars did what they always do. Outwork their opponents and pin teams in their own zone. They dominated the game but like always find a way to lose it in the playoffs. They just can't catch a break.

Yeah, it's not the prettiest logo you'll ever see (last season's was MUCH better), but they are the best team in the NHL, and tonight they start proving it against the Islanders. I'm going to Saturday's game, and I'm really happy NY beat the Devils and knocked Toronto out of the playoffs. Buffalo can beat either team, no question, but Toronto fans are the biggest bunchs of pricks in the entire league, and they come down in DROVES for the Buffalo games. With the Islanders, I know the arena will be over 99% Buffalo fans which makes for a much more enjoyable game. Sorry to the TO fans, but it's the truth...

I, however, must go for the Islanders, because they have Smyth.. and because first round upsets make me very, very happy.

Not that I really honestly care either way on a deep down level.. but I'd be ecstatic if the Isles pulled off this little miracle.
