hello dear everyone!
so I finally got a model.
her name is Thale and she has already won everything possible in tennis both in Norway and everywhere else:)
I was taking some photos of her and I really want them to be good.
she is an absolutely wonderful model! :)

we took a lot of different shots: smooth Dior-like, Hollywood glamour, candids, tennis inspired, b&w, color etc...
I have posted some of them here.

could I please get some feedback before I give the photos to her?
this is the first time I was taking photos of someone else, not myself, and I am nervous :)

thank you!!

I think they are great... very artistic. However, I do feel that fourth and fifth ones are over processed. That may have been the look you were going for, but it is a little much for my taste.

thank you Todd!
yeah, I think so too. I was just trying. we wanted a look from Dior makeup ads. I've never done any Dior looks so I didn't know what to do with it :)

I think they're all very nice, especially for your first time. Her expression seems a bit pained in the 2nd and 4th although it seems to work for the 4th. I would lay off the cheesy gaussian blur. I know its tempting to use, and i did it too in my earlier model shots but it isn't really used on high end fashion work. The lighting is very nice on all the shots and i love the soft tones. Keep em' coming

Yeah, really really nice. I like the ones with a bit of movement in them. great lighting. All natural lighting?

I love the pale and subtle tones as well. very well done.

you are right, thank you! :)
no blur and more movement, that's what I understood, too.

I love them. They're not your average portraits, I think they're quite exceptional. The last one has too much NI for my taste, but I love the looks of the rest of them, awesome!

<---AWESOME!

I don't know exactly what it is I like about these...the softness, motion, pale/pastel color...all parts of these images come together so well! Great job!!

Thanks for posting that `Dior` tutorial. Its great, I love adding the highpass layer to the final image to bring back the pores/skin details to the image.. definitely bookmarked that page. tested it out on this picture of a bride I shot earlier this year. works great!

Those dimples should be in every picture.
I prefer the soft look of the first batch to the grain in this one, but I like everything else about it.
