It's my Birthday today!
A web developer will talk to it's client this week. I may get some money for my 15th place photo taken On-my-birthday last year, with the Sony camera I had bought for my son (which he shared with me). What a nice present from CJE that would be.

I think the MVPs here are Tlemetry and Colorcarnival

Happy Birthday!
How sweet that would be for a birthday present! *crosses fingers for you!*

HAHA your to funny! My scores were up and down and all over the place, as usual! LOL

I had a three day weekend in Columbus, Ohio and there was no snow on the ground at all, just cold and windy. Arriveing home Sunday evening, I couldn't get into our driveway, I heard it had snowed for more then 24 hours straight. I am a happy owner of an 18 month old Ariens 7.5 HP Snow Thrower. People around here have been greeting each other by saying "Merry Christamas".

So the Indians moved their home games to the NORTH. Why??? Question of the day lol.

Aside from that random wandering, I guess if the WPL is gonna launch on May 1, we need to see who wants to play again!

I'm in - who is joining me?????
04/10/2007 03:28:50 PM · #433
I'm definitely in.
I think we all have a little more experience at using our cameras, composing scenes, post processing techniques, and scheduling the entire work flow.

Scheduling and juggling among our other activities and responsibilities. With experience also comes some efficiency and speed, in our timed creative efforts.

[ Thanks for the birthday presents and wishes. :-) ]

I'd love to play again with you guys. I have a new camera, but I joined the 30 day portrait side challenge and that should get me used to the camera in time for the WPL.

Happy belated birthday John - lets hope spring gets here SOONER than later :)

I'm in for the next one! Looking forward to it!

All for the team woman - plus the fact that you and others here have truly under-appreciated photos!

I am going for the brown people in NIGHT shot. After the challenge I need to show you guys these pics I took related to the shot. Freaky cool - I need to go take more!

Anyone in some challenges this week?

Laughing at this Expert editing stuff - ha. I am going to submit pics like normal and enjoy the fact that i am NOT going to over manipulate the photo to do well.

I skipped this past three Chains, Bicycles, and Night Shot IV, but next weeks's challenge is exciting. I'll be in town, and Expert editing is unique. You can photograph several parts of your photo at different locations and use parts as backgrounds for you main subject.

I guess you can expose differently for parts of a photo and make excellent HDR composites. I may even try some "Green screen" effects, for my backgrounds. Hopefully not too many are reading this, since it has great possibilities.

Maybe even take some blurred shot for your background, then replace a green or white background with it.

One of our team mates was disappointed with the loss of a file he shared with the team on our WPL thread. It had to do with images in 12 bit, image conversionâ€Â¦and how a camera worksâ€Â¦it was good information. I printed it back when he posted it and would like to forward that to him. Anyone remember who that was? All I remember is that it one of the fellas.

Deb - it was Brian. Can I have a copy of that too?
04/11/2007 12:36:34 PM · #440
sure thing. I need to type it to a word file, but I am not a typist - it would take ma a long time. I'll give it to my friend at work (on Monday), she can even type without looking at the keyboard! ;)

I have a chain shot in at the moment. Im planning on doing insect and possibly 'hair' though not positive how to go about it.
04/12/2007 06:06:05 PM · #442
I have insect done. I want to look at it some more before I submit.
04/12/2007 06:28:54 PM · #443
only going to do hair. I hate bugs! so I will probably not be voting in that challenge either - bleah!
04/13/2007 03:22:53 PM · #444
My pictures are so misunderstood lol. I am thinking of starting a team called: Team Abstract. What do you think? lol
04/13/2007 03:40:37 PM · #445
Michelle,
If that's how you feel, then that would make me the "water girl" on the team! ;)
I had 2 bad days in a row for shooting...not even sure about my insect photo now :(
I have been reading the tutorials for most of the afternoon...and I've had some success. Mood altering device needed to rid myself of this funk so I made dinner reservations for tonight :)
04/13/2007 03:47:18 PM · #446
Excellent idea! Dinner out - awesome choice. My hubby is in a mood-o as well. Maybe that is what we need here.

Hey - I been looking at your pics for the portrait side challenge. Excellent! Have someone there help you with the focus thing - because you have some spectacular pics thrown off a bit by the fuzzies.

Keep up the nice work watergirl (ha! - watergirl, never!)

OH - if you are in a funk, check out my new profile pic. It is making me laugh.

Oh and you guys wish me luck. I finally finally finally got an interview scheduled for a full time job at my school. Took me several years now lol. Keep your fingers crossed for me on April 30!

It's priceless!
