I read an article a while ago about a couple who runs a portrait studio. They were raving about this reflector, so I decided to look it up online. Well, B&H sells this item, but it's over $3,700!! So my question is, has anyone ever used this, or does anyone here own one? At that price, it is FAR out of my price range. But I would love to hear from any DPC'ers who have used this bad boy. Any photo examples would be great too.
Thanks!

Wow, I just looked around the web some more, and I discovered the 170 is the SMALL one, and the biggest model is over $7,500! Check it out...

I think I saw those at Photokina. The biggest one had a double function, when you pointed it toward the sky you could also use it for SETI projects..... Huge.
Can't remember if you could test it there, I had my filthy little fingers all over the Hasselblads, that's all I cared about. :)

Well, evidently from the lack of response most folks here have never tried one. I'm not surprised, considering the cost. I can imagine the photogs who use these are probably using Hasselblads as well. |
