Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but it would be nice to be able to upload more then one image at a time. It would save time, instead of doing each one individually. |

How do you put all your photos into a zip file? Sorry I'm kinda computer dumb when it comes to stuff like that.

Assuming you've installed winzip or a similar product you select the files, right click, select winzip, and add them to zip file.
EDIT: Other programs will be slightly different. WinRAR for example will be select, right click, add to archive.

My initial thought is wow... but yeah i guess with high speed internet, larger hard drives and portable media ZIP kinda is no longer an essential part of life.
WInzip, which is not free its shareware but itll run forever with an annoying popup the first launch. Its the sucessor to DOS's PKZIP and was very popular when i grew up, u can use WinRAR which primarly uses RAR files.
Look around for freezip, or u can use 7Zip. 7Zip uses 7z files by default but it can do Zip's. 7Zip's interface can be intemidating but just select zip and leave the settings at whatever theyare.
Back in the day we used zips to make files smaller so they would fit onto floppy disks or make them smaller to email. It used to be an essential tool.
That said Windows XP and higher have native support to open zips just not make them.

I believe with Windows XP you can create a "Compressed Folder" from the File menu -- it acts like a folder on the desktop but is actually a Zip file. I'm not sure how those work with the DPC upload system though. With Mac OS X you can also create a Zip archive natively.
Personanly, I prefer using the program StuffIt (both Mac and PC versions available) which gives you more control over the archive, and the ability to save in many formats. Free demo version is available, and StuffIt Expander -- which can uncompress almost any archive -- is always free.
Sending files over the internet -- especially multiple files or folder -- is much more reliable when the files are first placed into an archive of some kind; it "protects" them from certain kinds of corruption which can occur as the file's transferred among many systems. It's usually worth it to put a files into an archive before sending. |

A program called stuffit or something, came with the computer. The first time I did it I tried to upload it as a stix file or something. And it wouldn't accept that, so the second time I explored the program some and found the zip file thing that I needed. Now there all uploaded :) |
