It is probably a photo still in voting. Challenge stats are updated weekly.

Yeah. My photo is in voting. I've had six comments so far. Two of them were like "Welcome to dpchallenge! Yay!" and the rest were like "You suck."
One of them was very helpful.. But only the one.
I also find that often when people are trying to help me, I can't understand a word they're saying.
I'm a pretty stupid kid. I don't know all of these photographic-term-word-things..
I'm learning fast though, and that's nice.
There are alot of people here trying their damned hardest to force knowledge into my brain when it comes to editing pictures.
Taking the shot isn't my problem, it's that I simply suck at editing pictures.
That's another reason why I submitted my first picture without editing it.
I'm anxious to join a minimal editing contest.
I will smoke them. =))

It's ok to question the jargon. If there's a term you don't understand, ask away. (You can wait until after voting is over, or ask now if asking doesn't reveal which image is yours)

ANother thing go watch one of them modeling shows. Challenges can be hell and so is the modeling world.

I watched a show called "The Agency" Guy walks into a room with about 80 girls. Had each girl walk up he gave them a reason why their ugly as hell and didnt pick a single girl there. These girls go home some of them cry about how ugly they are while their boyfriend is like WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU because it aint your looks.

Now these women are attractive i mean the kind you wouldnt think twice about just looks wise. But in the modeling world good looks dont get you very far. Its not about good looks its about selling a product.

Challenges can be the same way. They had an Ansel Adams challenge. He is a famous photographer someone entered an ACTUAL Ansel Adams Picture and it scored 11th.

Kinda bad when your own photo cant place a top 10 in your own challenge.

These challenges arent the real world and in any place when ur up gaianst 150-700 people at a time your ods arent great.

Rain has made a very very good point here, take all this with a grain of salt...this site is what it is...a photography challenge...nothing more, if a shot does well here it MAY do well in the real world...but it may not, same goes the other way...it may not do well here and sell well in the real world, I have shots on here that don't do well here score wise but sell at the local gallery...go figure...

but it's close. i think why that imposter entry failed to get any higher is mainly because the scanned digital version doesn't look as good as the printed one.
