Yeah, a friend of mine ran into that issue a couple years back while we were fly fishing near Zig Zag. The knifed open the (plastic) windows in his jeep to get at... nothing. The doors were unlocked.

Three of us where no more than 200' away the whole time.

I really like Eagle Creek trail, but it's a _bitch_ in heat. The last time I did it the temp was over 90^, and the rock wall turns into a radiator.

Haven't done Oneonta Gorge, but it sounds interesting.

Have you asked ourwebstop? Brian knows the way.

As for people breaking into cars, that can happen any place you go. Leaving valuables in plain site in your vehicle is just asking for trouble, no matter where you park. We've been to the falls dozens of times and never had any problems.

I like the falls along the Gorge, but it gets tiring to always have the big trees right in front of the waterfalls. I know it's all about letting nature run it's course and all, but it seems to be carrying it a bit far to leave a single large tree ruining the picturesque view of some of the falls along there.

That's why I like the falls along Silvercreek better. If you want to hit all 10 of them, you can walk the 5 mile trail or hit those on the North end and then hit those on the South end and get some pretty good pictures. Plus the lighting is better than along the Gorge. I've gotten more falls pictures from Silvercreek than I have along the Gorge.

Mick, yes break ins can happen anywhere, but what the Sheriff reported was the same people doing a lot of it in the last few weeks.

Isn't that the truth. I really like it when you pull into some of the scenic viewpoints along the coast highway and can't see the ocean because of the trees and bushes blocking the view.

I'll bring my chainsaw if you do the cutting. :D

The lighting at several of the gorge falls can be very difficult to work with. Therein lies the challenge. Well, that and shooting around all the tourists. :D

Nothing good lasts forever, even a good crime spree.
