I'm not looking for a rant here just a comment on the photograph. Does the processing look good for meaning of the reenactment.
Details of what I had to do to get the picture is in the details area of the photograph. The print size will be 12x6 inches.
Thanks in advance.

nicely done. I'm assuming you added the center glow(?) if so I wonder if it could be just a tad bit higher to not highlight the members on the ground. This might also give it a more of a glow that appears to becoming from above...just an idea. Still a good image. |

Thank you for your comment and critique. I will try that and see what it looks like. On the center glow I was not going for that but I used a gradient layer with a different style and it came out that way. Thanks,

Maybe this is silly, but it just looks like there's so much space between the three crosses, like they have nothing to do with each other, and the whole scene looks sort of lost.
I wonder if it were possible to maybe, just maybe, cut out some of the space and get them somehow closer and bigger? To make it more dramatic? As it is, it looks almost pastoral in a way, and it somehow seems to be missing drama somehow. |

Great observation! I will try that approach as well. Thanks for the comments. I really want to make this a nice picture for my mom.

You are going to get a dozen opinions if you ask a dozen people. However, I'd personally lighten up on the gradient a small amount so as to allow more detail in the thieves. I understand what you are trying to do, but it is less than subtle and sometimes a more subtle hand lends a larger impact. |

I agree with Doc, I was going to say the same thing before I saw his post :-) Ursala had a good thought to try also. Overall though, you're definitely going in the right direction, I think. Nice pic :-) |

Is this better or is it did I go over the top in PP?

I think so -- I far prefer the subtlety of the first version. As someone mentioned, compositionally it would be better if the crosses were grouped more closely, but I think if you can make the glowing area extend just a tiny bit further the flanking crosses will be more visible, yet definitely secondary elements. |
