| My uncle sold it to me for $200. I've used it a number of times and I've needed a lens to replace the sorry kit lens with. I just hope I don't miss the 18mm from the kit lens. |

| That's a super lens, every bit the quality of the canon 24-70 L IMHO. I use it all the time. AND a great price, does he want to buy one for me ;) Congrats |

Really? I like that sound of that. I want to use it for low light wedding situations, would that lens be good?

I did a number of comparison shots at different settings with both and liked the Sigma better.
.
I have used it on several wedding and it did great. Just make sure it doesn't stay on F/2.8 during bright conditions of DOF will be very shallow. I've been very pleased with it. AND at about half the price of Canon it's a winner. I've used it on both my 20D and 5D. |

Hmmm I did a side by side by side of the Sigma, Tamron, and Canon, and for the price the others are nice lens. However the build quality and colors are much more pure on the Canon lens. However the difference does come at a price.

Would the colors be something easily fixable in Photoshop? I'm seriously considering either this lens or the canon 16-35 2.8 and I like the price tag on this one better :)

Yes the colors arent too bad to fix, I always find that with sigma lens have a bit of a yellow cast to them, but its fixable. They arent weather sealed and dont focus as fast as the Canon L series lens, but they are respectable lens.
