As some of you Know, I work in a Leisure Centre, and we have joined forces with the Citys Out Door Education Department, And Yesterday they invited me along on an expadtion to Hadrians Wall as they were visiting an Old Crag as they were going Climbing.
I was amazed at the Wall as it was Built in AD 122 By Emperor Hadrian to keep the Marauding Scots at Bay, as they were non too pleased about the Romans being on their Patch.
I have given you some photos from the Day and the Tree at the end was the Tree Kevin Costener was sitting at at the begining of Robin Hood Prince of Theives.
I have not included any climbing Photos as I may enter one in a Challenge later this Month.
The wall travels across Northumberland for 72 Miles and it is amazing to think how good it has been preserved against the elements.
Cheers Joe Could you please let e know if this information has any value to you and also let me know your thoughts on the Photos please

I visited Hadrian's Wall many times as a child, but over on the Cumbria side and always when the elements were at their worst. We frequently considered the idea of some poor Roman centurion marching along it, battling the cold, the wind and the rain (which always seem to come together up there!) A far cry from the warmth of Southern Italy!
Definitely worth seeing if you haven't ever. Nice shots by the way! |

I'd like to encourage you to do a bit more processing because most of them look a little washed out to me, but full of potential. A few more tweaks and you'll have wonderful photos.
Thanks for the info - I always read every word that comes with photos like these. It is nice to be put into the picture, so to speak, makes looking at someone else's shots so much more meaningful.
Thanks for sharing. |

Sorry, I disagree with the tweaking. I think they look great!
