| I just got an original submission request to verify I didnt cheat in the post processing of the contre jour contest.... :-( I hope tonemapping is allowd seeing as how there have been tonemapped basic editing images that have won. |

| its gettting a 5.7 ... dropp from a 6.2 the other day... people probably complained because it does look like I did some crazy stuff to it... |

| Good news is, once it has been validated, they will score you higher because they will be able to see the validation :) |

ALRIGHT! TEAM PROJECT TIME!! :)
Over the next 24 hours, take a photo. I don't care what of but it would behoove you to use something you have been having trouble with.
Please do not process it except to do the following:
Resize to 640 on the longest side
Sharpen 1x
Upload it here and we will all give suggestions for improvement (no processing suggestions please).
And we can work on our pre-photoshop junk.

about the behooved comment: i used to work for a co. that had a general mngr. who was famous for using his "word a day" calender,what made it funny tho was that his secretary would hip us as to what word it was, so we would try to sneak it in first using it amongst ourselves(he must have often wondered about the coincidental uses of his calendar words),lololol behoove was one of those "word of the day" words.

Ohhhhhh LOL I just like the word :) right along with ament. You can use that word in a sentence that sounds like praise and the poor person has no idea LOL |

I think we should add these as thumbs to the persons bio when they are received (it will help you get on a different team later on if you so choose as they will see you are an avid participant) along with a number so we will know how many :) |

| I'm in for the 24 hour picture, I'll take one tonight! One question, for the participation award, aren't we required to submit to 2 challenges a week once WPL starts? (the member challenge & one of the open challenges?) would this award be given to those who stick with it & never miss their 2 submissions throughtout the whole season? |

You are not "required" you can submit to only one (either the open or the member) but it is always a good idea to have 2 scores to choose from IMO.
Example, Last season, we had members who entered only one challenge and we ended up with a low score averaged in (which is fine) but perhaps if they would have entered the other challenge too, they may have gotten the team a higher score instead of the lower one.
I suggest we give it out bi-weekly to everyone who puts in 4 shots in the member challenges and the open challenges (other challenges don't count towards WPL) over a 2 week period :) Potential to rack em up :)
ETA: I will come up with special awards for those that don't miss a single challenge :)

It's all clear now & I think that's a great idea! I really like that we're planning ahead (i.e. taking pictures for each other to critique), it's like practicing for the big game, and I know it's going to help a lot!

whoa,well i knew i wasnt totally insane with my contre jour entry, even tho my Avg Vote: 4.4835 had me down, someone left me a nice comment and a vote of 9,mabe there is hope after-all!....then again ive heard one mans(womans) trash can be another mans(womans) treasure also,so.....

| Ok, I left a comment. This really is a great idea, and it really shows me that different people will like different things, I already see that Leisha wants a greater DOF & I like the shallow DOF, it really does differ per person, it's interesting. |
