The vice-president of the Mid Michigan Photography Club has asked me to do a presentation about DPC at next months meeting... What would you tell/show them?

The world's largest online photographic competition and learning site with a really cool and international community of members and users. :)

That's what I was gonna say... What if someone actually asks me a question? :-P

Show them screen shots of a top 10 page, show them a few jaw dropping images, show them a DPCPrints homepage.... just DON"T show them the rants forum! ;)

LOL... I got the rant's turned off. Bad things happen when I go in there! :-O

Show them the infamous "Cheeseman" photo. That'll describe the mayhem side of things perfectly! ;-)

Hahaha. Just put the Cheeseman photo on the projector and stand next to it making your presentation as if it wasn't there, that would be awesome.

show the tutorials prepared by those who know post processing and they offer it as a gesture to help other members. Aside from challenges, describe the side challenges that focus on a non-competitive venue to meet others and share photos. There's the WPL too. Just look at the response you got from your post. DPC is indeed a fine place.

I agree with the others.

-Start off with the front page (maybe how it looks as a visitor and how it looks as a paid member)

-The challenges main page that list all the challenges waiting for submissions and in the voting stage right now.

-The main community forums page so they can see the different topics.

-The tutorial page.

-Maybe even the equipment page to show the variety of users.

-A DPCprints page would be cool for those interested in selling their prints.

I was looking to get some extra mileage from that gif which I created for another thread.

Good luck with your presentation. Bring popcorn as a prop. :)

Take picture, post picture, bitch about your score, bitch about your lack of comments and last but not least, bitch about trolls.
