In both of them the ground and treeline are edited to be more pronounced (saturated and such) than the sky. It gives the images a bottom heavy feel to me. Punching up the sky on both would give a more balanced view -- but may of course not be what you were after.

On the first i had issues with getting the sky better.
I was trying to avoid what happened here.
