ViewSonic VX2235

i also bought a Spyder2Express! and it made some difference. i see how in alot of my photos that the colours are slightly off.
i highly recommend it! its cheap and very nice.

sorry but your colours will be off, ur using an 18bit panel which with tweeking from viewsonic to fool your eyes into seeing 16.2 mil colours instead of 16.7 mil..

and lay off of vista for 6 months..

Why lol not everyone is having a bad experience.

I beta tested Vista Beta 2 and RC-1. RC1 was sufficiently stable for me and ALL of my hardware worked.

ATI Radeon X700 Pro
Pinnacle Video Input Card
Linksys WMP54G, which vista did not at the time come stock with drivers, all worked.

There is an upgrade advisor, if it says your hardware wont work yet dont bitch when you get vista

Anyways let me end that hijack with saying, he bought a calibration tool is that not helping just a little bit j/k if its not displaying as many colors ther will be some variances. But there are more variances in color data in JPEG compression then that moniter itself is producing.

Yes, I'd also reccommend holding off on vista for a while. I'd wait until problems are found and a service pack is out. Vista also requires alot more storage and memory... as well as a fast processor. Unless you are up for purchasing/building a new computer... I'd save my money for a little bit longer.

You'll also need to tweak the heck out of it to make it run decent.

I'd reccommend the minimum:
dual-core processor
atleast 2GB of memory if not 4
200GB sata drive

i just got a widescreen LG L226wt ( 1680x1050 - 5ms ) - for about the same money - about $20 more looking at amazon.com. one thing i noticed different to your viewsonic was the contrast ratio.

the LG is 3000:1 - yours is 700:1.

i have until tuesday to return it, but i won't likely.
