I believe that I as well as you should wait to hear the "rest of the story" (as Paul Harvey would say). Meaning that regardless of the current representation of their release, I am very interested in reading about their time in captivity, how they came to "confess" their trespass, how the 3 letters from the female seaman came to be, etc etc etc.
The reports today indicate that access is being given to Iranian officials, to visit the 5 in US custody. The particulars surrounding the release on Monday of the Iranian Diplomat. And the "other" unmentionables that are not yet in the press. I will be keeping vigilent on this as the days move forward, trying to glean the facts as best as they can be ascertained, from a civilians viewpoint.
Regarding, whether diplomacy worked, will truly be determined over time as actions do speak much louder than words. As Atilla (the character) is quoted as saying "A Chieftan who asks the wrong questions, always hears the wrong answers." and "Wise Chieftans often extract from obscure places critical elements for making the right decisions. The key is learning to find the obscure places and to recognize the critical elements."
