I was looking at the Canon EOS website and noticed what looks kinda like the ST-E2 on top of the camera to the left on this page:
//web.canon.jp/Imaging/eos/system/accessory-e.html
But its definitely not the ST-E2, what is it? I've never seen anything like it before in Canon Product Lineups....
It looks like it has a sync cord plug and some switches on the front..
New unnanounced accessory?
It is also shown in the rightmost camera here:

| I'm assuming since the thread has 53 views on it nobody knows what it is either. I'm betting its a replacement for the ST-E2..which makes sense. The ST-E2 is rather old isn't it, and its price when compared to the 580EX is usually worth just getting the flash instead of a dedicated master. They had to replace it sometime, and it looks like it has some extras like a sync cord mount. I bet someone at Canon is gonna be saying Oops...we weren't supposed to show that yet.... |
