This really doesn't mean that IrfanView is bad, or weak, or anything, but I just wanted to pass this on to alert users that the program DOES have a vulnerability...

It appears to only be a problem with .ani files, which aren't a thing here at DPC, but be advised...

I believe users of Vista should look at this warning also. I've read that .ani files are a threat. I suspect MS will patch the problem quickly.

Microsoft were informed of the .ani vulnerability on 20th December 2006!

Please reference the "Bill Clinton", or governmental definition of "quickly". ;)

Bills' definition may change depending on gender of person involved.
