People usually resort to name calling when when they run out of logical reasons for disagreeing with someone else.

People rarely call me names. I'm hurt! I must not have very good reasons for my opinion.

Once a person gets himself lost in a desert and has a challenge dedicated to him... there's not a lot of name calling that would work ... :-P

Its strange but I find that the comments I give are far more effective (at least in my perception) if I remove the word you out of the comment.

"You should try add more contrast"

versus

"The picture could use more contrast"

Very subtle difference but I find that when I am narrowing my focus to the photograph explicitly rather than implicitly it just feels more objective.

If I call someone a name, oh, say "Gooey Butt".

And, that person comes back at me with a more sensitive name say "Diaper Licker"

Then a third party bursts in out of the blue calls both of us, oh, say,"Crying Devil Toads".

Is this banter? or is this just simply mean?
