Hey Newbie Here. I just bought an A70 bout a week and took it to my GF's work funtion on the night I got it. A mate told me bout the comp on this site and said to take a photo and submit it. Anyway I forgot until last night and unfortunately missed out.

Anyway I took this about 3:30 in the morning when completely stuffed for the night. Thought it captured how we were feeling perfectly.

This was photo 17 on my new camera and now I'm hooked. Phototography seems to be my new hobby.

Please check it out and let me know what you think or what you would have scored it. Don't hold back as I had no expections. I think its great anyway.

Not sure what to do here: umm try this //www.pbase.com/blee/inbox
I set it up just a while ago.

Hard Night Out

Cheers

Good try.
What I see is your arm moving, which was probably taking the photo.
The blur effect will cost you some points.
Also, what appears to be a flash on the girl is another point to look at.
Note: On your next attempt to submit, you need to leave out any text in the photo as well as any border you may want to use.
I would go over the Rule before sumbitting. This will help you have a valid submittion. Pay close attention to time (eastern standard time)
The composition for this challenge was right on. I fell the night out effect.

thanks for your quik reply musicman, didn't think i'd get one.

I have 2 copies of this photo, one is blured, the other isnt. I liked the blur as it represented how tired I felt after a big late night. My GF Chelle looks like she's had it.

I just held the camera at arms length with a slower shutter and shaky hand to do it.My first experiment so I was surprised how it came out as I only had the camera bout 10 hours by then. I might post the other shot with my awesome water drops.

Still it's good to see what someone else thinks, much apprciated.

Joanna, I like that shot. Several people entered shots with the same "zooming in" effect, but I think yours would have edged most out (at least for my vote) for its humor. Even not being female, I can relate!

Joanna, that is too funny. I like it, too bad you missed out. Very funny sense of humor.
